It is a new sled called Azimuth and it has already become very popular. The main reason is the price. This thing is very affordable and extremely simple. Seems pretty good value for a farm machine, that CVT looks geared for torque rather then any kind of top end, which usually those chinese motors favor, a bit of a gearing change on the Vtwin and I bet you could get more speed, if thats necessary for the task of which its intended.

so it took us 60 years to go back to bogey wheels and leaf springs because it's still cheap and works.

Bogey wheel tracks are junk, they WILL break after they age or under heavy use-and it's a pain to replace them. It's 1950s-1960s technology

odd. my 1971 ski whiz has bogey suspension and all the factory original bogeys are still good to go, except the bearings have gotten a little worn over the fifty plus years of service (If I were a stickler for perfection I'd replace the bearings, but they are still quite functional.) compared to the heavy wear I've seen on slide rail systems I'll take bogeys for simplicity and reliability any day.

@@ProlificInvention oh, I see. I'll bet your dad had a bad experience with a bogey wheel sled, which does happen, although not too often. and you were definitely right in saying they're a pain to replace.

okay nice wide skis thatd float in powder but very low quality sled very basic too and track sucks too so looks like a down grade would rather buy a "famous" brand
