This video was made almost 11 years ago. I want Mauritius to always be like 2008 Mauritius but unfortunately it's not. I went there for New Years and was very disgusted at how much the countries been ruined with garbage everywhere on the streets, dog shit everywhere, the beaches don't look that bright and nice anymore, the corals and fish population has gone down, over crowded everywhere on the streets. If they are to ever become like Singapore they must fix these flaws before the population becomes out of hand.

Un petit mot d'un francais, non Mauricien donc. Maxime a probablement francise cette chanson, et peut etre un peu altere le sens original, mais c'est grace a lui que j'ai fait une recherche , qui me permet d'ecouter l'original ici! Alors ne soyez pas trop mechants les gars.

The original Amba La Bas sung by Claudio in the 1980s said "To mange mo salad amba amba" not "Salad amba la bas!" - And it was better than this new one anyway. Does anybody know where to get the original one from? I have it, but the sound is not good.

Yeah, thanks man. As I say, I have the original version by Claudio... I think it's much better. But it was recorded from radio. I bet the original archives in Mauritius must hold a superior version. But we'll never get it I bet!

Je découvre la version originale après celle de Maxime Leforestier. Celle-ci est plus tonique^^ Quelqu'un peut svp me dire ce que ça veut dire "Avec so gro zano dan so zorey"? Un zoreille ou zorey est une personne qui vit en métropole et pas sur l'île, ce terme est valable à la Réunion et à l'Ile Maurice mais dans le contexte de cette phrase je n'ai pas compris! Merci
