This is one of the first anime I ever watched. Ironically, it was so good that I barely noticed the fanservice. It's even better that it actually ties into the plot.

kill la kill is within the line of "could be ecchi" but it actually has a good plot. its like if high school dxd's plot evolved around sex, but it was actually relevant and a core part to the plot other than fanservice every episode. im glad this was one of my first anime that got me into anime.

Yea highschool DXD actually has a good story pretty undersable power system and surprisingly epic moments...like wen issei fully transformed to fight the white dragon emperor
