The assassination attempt on Former US President Donald Trump sparked a security scare. A man was shot dead just two blocks away from the Republican National Convention (RNC) venue. The police recovered two knives from him. In a separate incident, the police arrested a man with an AK-47 pistol. The suspect was trying to approach the RNC venue. Meanwhile, a poll has found that 4 out of 5 Americans believe the country is sliding towards chaos. Palki Sharma tells you more.

I do not understand US security including private security. When Trump was attending court he would arrive with a number of vehicles both before and after him. I assumed that this was his private security as attending court was a private matter. If so, where were these people on the day of the shooting? Secret Service, Dept of Homeland Security, Local Police or what ever these are called all seem to have areas to protect at a rally. Would Trumps private security have any operations at the rally?
