Introducing our very first Community Opera production, Silverwood. 🌳
It features an original story and score written by the new RNCM Community Chorus - an open-access adult choir for all backgrounds and abilities from across Greater Manchester.
The choir have worked closely with the composer and conductor Kate Pearson and director Jonathan Ainscough, as well as RNCM Students. They’re also joined by local community organisations, including The Circus House, Sing it! Youth Choir, Chorus of Others, Holy Name Primary School and St Philip’s Primary School.
Part of our The Future Is Green initiative, Silverwood tells the story of a community standing together to save a green space under threat from developers.
