Which Connects 2 adapter did you use with your Saab. I'm due to collect one next month, and have this head unit in mind. Their appears to be a universal one, called multi lead Universal, are you able to confirm which one you used please?

The Atoto units have a "quick boot" feature. Does the Road Angel have this, or is it full 15s startup every time?

Wonder if anyone can help me. Ive got this head unit fit, just went to attatch my harness for my swc and ive stuoidly managed to pull the swc cable out of the harness. Dont suppose anyone knows which way these wires go for me to re attach? Its swc cable with the yellow black and red connectors that ive pulled out

Hi there - great channel 👍 Can you please help? I’ve just had the RoadAngel 721DAB installed in my 08 9-3 Aero convertible. Sadly , there are a number of things that aren’t working! Do you have any wiring info for any additional connecting advice beyond what is in the video? I’m going to buy new Connects2, reverse camera and microphone and reinstall it myself (even though I’m a complete novice!!). Many thanks in advance for any help you can offer. Kevin

Finally got the sound working and it's very good sound but the surround they have sent me doesn't fit the radio it's opening is too small.

What stock radio system was in the Saab 9-5 you’ve put many replacement units in? 9 speaker system / w nav? That is what I have and it seems complicated for replacement. 3 looms in back of radio, etc… thanks if you’ll help. 👍

Would my 2006 9-5 with stock speakers be considered amplified? Connects2 is asking and don’t have original info on the car. I guess they need to bypass the amplifier if it exists? Thanks

whilst this looks good it appears to lack AA Wireless, although it would make a great replacement fir my aging puoneer. on a different note, does the t'eyes cc3 have AA wireless, and can it run Torque pro via obd? Thanks

i use alot of music from USB. i found pioneer to b very limiting . in what files it would show me on the USB. can u review the usb feature more and show us what the folders look like. on USB thier r thousands of songs , and all in sperate files , but the pioneer i had would only read one files an it just seemed to get stuck with reading large song lists on teh USB. so much so it would crash the pioneer, and i have had to send it back..

Hi. Very good video. Agree the look and sound is superb. Issue we found at Halfords yesterday was with specified Connects2 steering wheel controls in a 2008 Tigra. They refuse to work and swapping in a Pioneer proved the controls and Connects2 adapter function fine. Did the steering wheel controls work ok for you? Any mods necessary or was it plug and play? For info, fitted the non DAB version - Connects2 insist it works on the DAB one so Halfords are ordering one in to try.

There are two options for sensing resistive steering controls, and the default option didn't work on my Saab either. I changed it and it worked right away. I forget the option but it's right at the bottom on the menu and changes the sensitivity of the resistance

@@SaabUnleashed cool. Thanks. Might wait for them to get the DAB one in to be honest. The RDS doesn’t work reliably because (guessing) the reception is pretty bad. Certainly far worse than the standard CD30 that was in the car. I’ll give the setting go go.

Hi, I've just purchased the full saab kit and connected it to the road angel and there's no sound. I can Bluetooth music but no sound. I have the pass thru connected but there's some other wires on the kit that aren't connected and don't relate to the road angel. Thanx.

If there is no sound at all, it is because you have not connected the blue and white wire on the Connects2 loom, that wire triggers the Saab factory amp

@@ianharvey783 you need to run the blue wire to power the amp on. I've sebby the radio back tho it's shit. Good sound but that's about it. Rubbish dab and android auto had no sound unless you blast out the audio.

Did you post a video with your method for pulling that top air grill easily without messing up the finish? That tends to drive many of us crazy and we end up with a salvage yard result staring at us on our daily drives. Lol...

Hi saab once again quick question I have had the road angel in my car for a couple of months and have noted sometimes it reboots and sometimes when i start the car the screen is white for 10 seconds goes really bright then changes to carplay. Has that happened to you?

If you read the comments on Amazon, two of the three negative ones are from novices regarding connecting it up. It's literally a plug and play unit, so no idea what they were doing. I rate it highly because I have personally used it and feel that it's a good unit. I have shown in this video the easy ISO plug, how you can easily change the mounting brackets, and I have shown the use of the other features. That's the point of these videos

@@SaabUnleashed I only asked because from all the reviews only 3 of them were verified purchases, they rate it 1 and 2 stars, the rest received the unit for free and even they rate it 4 stars , most of them had someone else installing it, many mention difficult to install and extra cables for the steering wheel buttons. I have a question: did you received this product for free?

The Road Angel head units get great reviews. You just have to buy the correct installation kit.

Depends if you have a face-lift dashboard. If you do, you'll just need to buy the Saab 9-3 kit with your radio

Can you cut down the size of the dab aerial ?? I spoke to some who has done this and he is confident it's does not detract from the signal. Awesome vids btw . I have Xtrons for my Audi

Why would you need to cut the antenna? the Antenna is designed to work to give the best performance. If you cut it you are damaging it and it will not work as good as it should. Maybe you should find a small antenna which is more suitable?

This is an Android Auto / CarPlay device, so it uses the apps already installed on your phone. So yes, it will have Google Maps and will use the GPS sensor in your phone
