In 2020 my friend back in Ghana wanted to undertake that Brazil through Central America route journey to the US and I discouraged him. Because in 2018 I watched a DW TV documentary on that journey and risk in it, even more dangerous than passing through the desert to Libya.

I have visited most of the central and southern American countries and sometimes if you see how some Ghanaians and Africans are hustling over there it’s just so crazy. I remember when I visited Medellin in Colombia I was so surprised that a Ghanaian approach me for help. I did what I could do to assist a brother. People should be careful about some these journeys.
