This guy was mildly inconvenienced by a learner vehicle emerging in front of him, and thought it was reasonable to rage at the provisional licence holder.

Cammer here. Just to give some updates. We tried tracking down the driving school so we could give them the footage but they don't have any social media at all so no way of getting in contact (there is another using the same name, it is not them). His wife did get in touch but again, no way of messaging her directly on KZfaq and my replies in the comments to her keep getting deleted. Either way, they reported the incident as did I but I haven't heard anything back. Assuming nothing came of it as it happened way back in summer last year.

To get that you must have been breaking rule after rule and shown you're not trustworthy. If you are as unhinged as this guy you really shouldn't be operating a 2 ton death machine. It's one thing to be a dipshit and brake check someone (which is also not okay), but it's another thing to brake check with your baby in your car, come to a full stop, exit the car, scream at a LEARNER, stomp around the road like you own it while everyone is going like what, 80-100 km/h, then to break the rules yourself. This guy needs a idiot test asap. I hope the dashcam driver sent this to the police.

Cammer here again, I have a new update! (Interesting how it's just come up now haha). I've had a call from the police regarding the incident. The learner did pass her test in the end but doesn't want to provide a statement and bring it all back up. However I am happy to provide a statement which I'll be doing next week. From what I've gathered, the driver of the BMW has also been contacted by the police but I have no more info beyond that. I will try and post another update should anything else pop up. Good news about the learner though and the fact the police are finally doing something about it.

@@PedroConejo1939 What he said is bad logic. There are legit people who shouldn't be on the road who get shouted at that they shouldn't be on the road. The act of shouting itself does not preclude the shouter from being a good driver. The act of getting out of one's car on the other hand, like we see in this video, makes it logical to presume that the road rager shouldn't be on the road. The majority of us have shouted (without stopping or exiting the car) at one time or another, be it under our breaths or out an open window.

Not gonna claim i'm more than an average driver, never will be a really good one. But there are many out there that are way worse than me and i'm not stopped by comments like this to cuss them out from the relative privacy of my car. I'll not rage or get out of my car, but i'll let of the steam immediately as i don't want it bottled up. By the way, the merge wasn't even that poorly done and not even worthy of a short moment of 'that was a minor error in judgement, but no harm as it was within safe relative speeds' The white car didn't even have to brake (much) and that is just something you should expect now and then when dealing with people: small errors.

Main roads are to keep traffic flowing and going. Not meant for stopping. If you need to stop or get out of your vehicle. You reduce the risk of an accident happening to you if u just find a safe space after turning off the main road. But hey back to this guy in video. He has no care for himself or others by just putting them all in danger by just stopping in middle off the road. Well let me rephrase that, not annoyance. It was good to see the learner continue the journey and not be put off (assuming it wasn’t the instructor driving). Fingers crossed it hasn’t put them off more lessons eithet Word of advice from me if someone exits their vehicle towards yours…close the windows and lock the doors to prevent entry from said person. If you can, leave a gap between the vehicles so you have a quick escape route, never try to engage in conversation with them…they have no interest in what you have to say. Just before covid I was on a driving lesson with a young girl on the hour before her drivimg test. As I call it, she starting to put the kettle on. What I mean by that is she was starting to get a bit nervous with just 20 minutes to go before her test. She approached a mini roundabout in a 20 mile an hour limit and was turning left. She's probably should have give way but she popped out in in front of car driven by a man well over 60 and he was approximately 30 or more mtrs from the mini roundabout and he sounded his horn. I did what i alway do and put my hand up open fingers to say sorry even if i don't feel that way. This was just a diffuse the situation as what you call a non event. He didn't even have to slow down from his approximate 15 mph. I pulled her in about 100 m to have a and a little talk and try and calm her nerves before the test. The man then pulled up alongside of us and started to rant, not at me but at the 18 year old girl. I tried to intervene but he was not listening.until I shouted , thanks, she's on her driving test in 20 minutes. He then just drove off but the damage was done. I'm pretty sure that girl would have passed first time if not for that horrible person. Covid kicked in and it took her a year more to pass . Three time her test was booked 1 day and cancelled before each lockdown. After 41 yes as an instructor this is the main reason reason I technically retired Christmas 22 but have continued to finish all my students. On my Facebook when I said I was retiring i put a message to to this girl that she would only understand as we talked a lot about aspects of the job and why I would retire. She like the comment and now looks cool in her mini clubman pay for by her hard work while learning and saving up for her dream car. I still get a buzz when students pass their test but I won't miss the traffic and the harassment from traffic after the last four students I have left. The last one will be bittersweet and I'm sure I will have a tear my eyes.

That person described sounds like a real self-entitled tool, like all those who create incidents out of nothing for something to upload, but this was on another level from what I read. I think some people must forget they were once a learner - not sure how you can forget that experience (and that's coming from someone who hasn't been in that experience yet at all but will be very soon) and the mistakes you will have undoubtedly made. The fact he ruined her test single-handedly shows what kind of person he is. Maybe he never took his test and so doesn't know what a horn is or what the give way line actually means, and that's why he can't remember making the same mistake. That would make much more sense I suppose.

I was in the area this time last year, on my way from Manchester to Norwich, it took around 1 1/2 hours to travel between Newark and Kings Lynn, averaging only around 40 mph. Road rage and anger issues are contagious, be careful what you sow because it will affect your entire life. I have a friend who can be aggressive and was violent in his youth. [calmed down a bit now he is in his 70’s… but not much] He once had his 4 kids in the back of his car in town and a cyclist came out of a side road causing him the slam the brakes on, no seat belts in them days so the kids on the back seat went flying forwards ending up in the foot well. He hurled abuse at the cyclist to which the cyclist got off of his bike and became belligerent and aggressive and threatened him. Get got out of his car and shoved the guy over a low brick wall into someone’s garden, then picked the bike up and threw it over the wall on top of him. As he walked back to the car the kids were all wide eyed staring at him in shock. They all drove home in silence and as soon as they got in the kids blurted out what happened to his wife so he got an ear bashing off of the misses. The point being though, is that all of his oldest kids grew up to be aggressive and violent while the youngest were more easy going and calmer. As he got older he mellowed so the younger his kids the less aggression they saw him from him. [overall the entire family have not had a quite life, full of conflict and strife]

I would say it very much depends on distances and speed differential , also on following traffic . As a former advanced instructor I'd be concerned if a student didn't brake if the emerge was close enough to risk a collision , even if it did inconvenience people behind , but if there was no imminent risk of collision then I'd be happier with just lifting off the throttle until you saw whether the emerging vehicle was going to get up to speed . We always taught - the first method of braking is by acceleration sense , the second method is by braking : in other words there should almost always be a period of deceleration before needing to use the brakes - only in an emergency should you need to come straight off the accelerator and onto the brakes , unless you are using both at once which only is taught in certain more advanced driving scenarios , and not for normal driving .

I wasn't sure what he was doing so I went around him and then realised he was giving way to oncoming traffic, so I pulled in in front of him to give way also. No big deal? The other car overtook me at the first opportunity and tried to wave me to pull over, presumably to give me a good talking to. There hadn't been any sort of collision or incident so I didn't fancy stopping. His flashing and gesticulating made me wonder if it was safe to do so. After I drove on again he zigzagged up my rear end, blasting his horn and chased me up a narrow lane (that was almost certainly not on his route). When I arrived work a mile or so later (at a school!) he drove over the pavement in the car park to cut me off and force me stop. He started raging at me about how he had a child the car and he was going to report me. For what? Overtaking him when he was stationary?! Eventually he took down my number plate and left. I actually reported the incident first - the school had it on CCTV. Needless to say, I never heard from the police.

How sad. The fact it annoyed him that much after following the learner for 2 minutes of driving.

Father and driver of the year over here 🥳 I do feel for everyone on the road around him for the rest of his life and that poor kid, this is how he’s protecting them? Shocking!

I'm a cyclist, so I'm well used to hearing people spout delusion as reason for them nearly killing everyone, or being shouted at by someone doing the dangerous thing. It's worrying how many prams I've had to avoid on the road, from mother's who didn't look before leading out into the road with a baby and a pram, almost likenthey wanted rid of it, only then to shout and scream abuse down the street. Road rage is a real thing but it doesn't take much to set people off does it, almost like the majority are going through life barely aware theyre living

If he cared about his 1 year old kid, he wouldn't have dangerously tailgated an inexperienced driver, he wouldn't have dangerously overtaken at speed, he wouldn't have dangerously come to a complete halt on a busy A road, and he wouldn't have dangerously exited the vehicle and face his back to oncoming traffic roaring by centimetres away. But mush for brains doesn't care about that. It's just one big macho fight for him.

I was about to say that this one of the main roads if you want to travel from North Wales to East Anglia across the middle of England so you often get impatient drivers who are going long distance wanting to get through ASAP, [high amounts of traffic going long distance on single lane roads with lots of sections of lower speed limits] but to learn that he had a young child in the car means that he is probably local to the area and not traveling much distance. Either way he has massive anger issues and needs help, [this is probably an issue with him out of the car as well]

Wow, what an absolutely horrendous way to act. That poor learner driver and their instructor behaved and continued driving really well. I guess at least the learner driver now understands what some people are like when they get in their cars.

It always amazes me that people like this seem in such a hurry that a mild inconvenience are having to slow is such a big deal but they have all the time then to stop and argue, the way he behaved here is just shocking, disgraceful and his defiantly a bully, people like him should not be on the roads. That learner did well, that sure must have been intimidating

Notice how he goes all cowardly once confronted by a man. He wants to bully the learner but is a complete and utter coward when called out on it. Typical bully

Know the the roundabout well. Leadenham to Sleaford. That Leg onto the roundabout is not traffic light controlled for some reason but all others are. Never an unmarked car around when you need one. That guy could of caused a pileup slamming the anchors on like that on that stretch of road. I think he was a bit fast as well coming up to the Leadenham juction (not a slip road BTW a Tee Junction). I've had several occasions where I have had HGV's tailgate my van on that stretch even when I'm turning right near Cranwell. I had to put the indicator on early and then the brakes lightly and they still didn't get the hint and stayed on the rear bumper.

Wow, that really shows the magnitude of this guy's self-centred attitude and monumental lack of self awareness, reinforced not only stopping and getting out to berate the learner but also by his driving later in the video. He gets mildly inconvenienced and proceeds to majorly inconvenience himself, everyone behind and endangers everyone on two occasions. Entitled *#@%! Almost defies belief.
