I was thinking the same, in fact if I complete this track 30-60 seconds slower than in this video, I can still win the race by the same distance as in this video. In lower levels you can really pull away in this conditions. So, you can do everything perfect but if you make a mistake at the end, they pass and win, but if that happend at the beginning or the middle of the race you can still catch them.

Computer riders are given unlimited nitro, unbreakable bike, get out of jail free card, and aren't able to fall in the water. It's commonly referred to in the gaming community as "rubber banding" so the player doesn't build a huge lead and get complacent. However if you screw up, they'll keep going to the point where you can't catch them.

@@whoohaaXL I also have a full version of the game on pc where there is absolutely no music other than the engine sound but I reckon it's not original version which I got through a friend

The in-game music is MIDI, so you'll want to make sure you can play that type of sound. Remember during the mid-90's, because some sound cards couldn't play more than one WAV at a time, so music was either the memory-saving MIDI (basically a score with generated instruments) or CD Audio (you put your game CD into a CD player, and tracks 2-End were all the in-game music; track 1 was data). I assume the menu music was CD Audio, but I'd have to try my CD to find out.

It took me alot of attempts to do this video, first trying to found the fastest way in every split and every corner, where I have to use the nitro and then making the video as good as possible, any mistake and I have to start all over from the beginning, but sometimes I feel that I could be more patient and not making too many attempts in a short time.

You get longer races at higher levels. The player has won a Level 5 race in here

Looks like it would matter, given Ortega's sudden drop in advantage when you take the right (and he probably takes the left). I'm not so sure about a mile, though, because there was some serious rubber banding in this game.

That's very close to my time, only 6 seconds. You are understanding very well how to push the bike to the limit, so if you keep trying, is a matter of time that you do a time faster than mine. Well I don't really know who has the fastest time overall in this track and in the others, and I think I will never know it.

You sure yours isn't 200 MPH? The game uses Imperial or Metric measurements depending on your computer's settings. It did make for the overflow on distance if you use metric, though.
