Have fun at axialfest! I gave up on axial. They have become junk since the 10.2. I still have my gladiator just because of the body. They did a great job on the body! I also got the grey one!

Hey Fil, I can see why you are so stoked about this truck. Tons of cool features and upgrade options, plus it looks so freaking good! And it passed your test run with flying colours! I was a bit concerned about that clicking from the transmission, I wonder if they all do that? Great video, stay excellent dude! 😎🦫👍

@MarkBryanRC thanks, Mark! It sure is a good looking rig. These highly detailed bodies are something to admire. As for the clicking trans, I'm going to inspect it a little further. But if my old man memory is right, these SCX10 III's all did that. It was a big deal when they came out a few years ago. But I'm gonna disassemble it and give it a once over just to be safe. I have the scx10lll but in the shorter wheelbase (bronco). Never used the 2 speed but love the dig. All I have done is weight bias mods. Fun truck. Enjoy!

Thats a huge wheelbase. I've got 12.8 wheelbases with my Rochobby Mashigan with leafs. Talk about a challenge. Excited to see what you will do with this one, should be good thanks to your varied perspective. Keep it up!

Yeah, man, what an awesome machine! I think this is pretty much the top of the pops when it comes to an RTR crawler/trailtruck! Axial seems really nice quality! Very neat function with the dig, I have never tried that before... I hope you're having a great trip there, dude, lots of fun, lots of RC'ing and watch stuff, hopefully a few good brews in the evenings, dude!

It ran great out there but that drivetrain does sound a bit crunchy! Something does sound off to it. Hopefully it is something that will wear in! Have fun with it and have fun at Axialfest.

Hey Fil, just saying hello pal. Great video as always. I mentioned before that I do not have a large scale crawler. And have had my eye on the Rlarrlo MK07, and the Redcat Ascent Fusion. Now you got me thinking I may need to get one of these. I'm considering selling some of my cars so I can get a crawler. That Jeep looks super sick. I absolutely love the surf board. Very nice touch. Have fun at Axial fest. Looking forward to seeing more of your adventures. Be careful, stay safe, and have a great time brotha.

@@poorboysrc love your take on this one, its an interesting rc with the long wheelbase it will have certain pros and cons that can make for a more interesting drive. That spear grass was thick though! My feet hurt thinking about it

axial make some crackin rigs. can u fit proline hyrax tyres because those things are awesome. i put them on my scx10ii and it was a huge difference. great stuff mate. nice to see an axial. always a pleasure👍

@@poorboysrc the massive treads might rub the body is something to look into . they are 1.9 with a bit extra due to the grips .

Get some spare lexan if you have some and make some under plates. I dont have a crawler yet but we have plenty of great spot in the lpcak jungle here in Kuala Lumpur.

Im not huge into trail trucks or crawlers, but i do have a few. I have a Traxxas High Trail (with the '79 F150 body in black, sexy asf) Got a trailer for it too, so i cam pull around my Sand Scorcher, or my Kyosho Beetle. (If you don't have a Kyosho Beetle, you should get one! I put a Castle SC sidewinder set up in mine and it's absolutely mental) This Axial was the other one i was looking at. I chose the Traxxas, mostly because my boss has the Axial, and we are competitive lol can't have the same one as him now, can I? Do they look good when they're new or what???

Dude, they're SO nice to look at! I can imagine how nice that '79 Ford of yours is... 🤤 🤤 🤤 As for the Kyosho Beetle, I've got the closest thing to it, the Turbo Scorpion. And funny enough, I'm also running a Castle Sidewinder 3 6900kv bl system in it, and it's SO AWESOME!!! I save it for the big beaches only. @leehurst6922 I surfed a little bit in my younger years. When I took up power-lifting in my 30's, my ability to surf went out with the tide, lol! 🏄♂️ I've snowboarder my whole life, and even with being a bigger guy, I'm still able to do that. But I lost a lot of mobility with power-lifting, and that killed my ability to surf. Now that I'm recovering from my back injury, I've had to give up power-lifting. So I'm working toward gaining my movement back, and getting back on a surf board again. It'll take another year or two, but I'll get there. 🏄♂️ 🌊 😎

I’ve had my 10.3 for a couple years and really enjoy it. I swapped out the motor for the FOC and added two light controllers from MyTrickRC. The Dragon DG1 and a UF7R. Great for the halo lights and a couple rock crawler light options as well as adding dash lights. The Hyrax along with some RoboSlug inserts made a big difference. Awesome, thanks for the tips, Trey. Any thoughts on the clucking transmission? I remember my SCX10 III trans clicked a lot, too. But I'm just wondering if that's normal, or if I should look into fixing it?

@@poorboysrc If it was me I’d open the portals and regrease. As well as CAREFULLY pull apart the transmission to inspect. The transmission. Mine does not click like that. You might also check the two speed servo/position. If it’s not fully in low or high you might get that clicking.
