You want to bring good to people’s lives; to make their days easier or bring about a change in mood; make people happy. Or at the very least inspire a reaction, good or bad. When something is designed well, it is effortless; people embrace it, adapt to it and get on with their existing with it. When something is designed poorly or without proper care, it can be hard for a designer to recover from it. You are only as good as your last gig.”

This is the most awesome thing I have watched and what I have been searching for, three years now! If only I can get to meet you in person. You said something VERY close to home about my own project than you’d ever know and that forms the ethos of what I am currently DESPERATELY trying to do. Would love to meet you

Guys, this was seriously inspiring. I loved that you showed us the intimate process, including sketches and CAD shots. I feel as though I'm on the road to designing something special myself. Do you have any manufacturing advice for someone wanting to start a microbrand, please? Where would you start in looking for a factory to work with?

Beautifully designed. While i see that you use(d) good ol’ dotted grid notebooks, may i ask, if not proprietary, what software do you use to do the other aspects of the watch design? Thank you :)

Exactly my debacle at this very moment! I have the idea and what I want on my watch, I know what the end should look like but I don’t even know how to hold a pencil and draw a line on the Drawing pad.

You can’t tell a watch from 5 meters away? Well that is a half lie. You can definitely tell what watch it is, or at least what watch they are trying to copy. Nowadays a lot of watches are just extensions of a handful of truly innovative and new watch designs which most of them are over 50 year old designs. I’ll list the most recognizable ones that a lot of other watch brand were heavily inspired from: Rolex Submariner, AP royals oak (the Patek Nautlius), omega speed master/ Rolex Daytona.
