@@sukikirai3399 Credit goes to the original commenter! I cannot find the original comment anymore (damn the comment algorithm!), but I did check everything to make sure the information is correct. The original song is really, really dark. Oneus kept almost the same lyrics and only changed a little bit, but wow! They really changed the negative connotations of the song into a good message and something hopeful.

@oOoOoOoGOSH You're right. Even some KZfaqrs who claim to be K-POP minded or those who make reaction videos of K-POP don't do their research properly. Sorry, but I do think that most of them just expect some views (leading to KZfaq income) for their reaction videos not knowing or understanding the real lyrics, the meaning and the pre production process. What they and most people of just casual K-POP fans enjoy is the post production and they just judge whether a K-POP song/performance is good or bad simply because of these 3 aspects associated with K-POP: 1.the visuals (for me including the physical appearance of the artists and the stage/setting/property), 2.the catchy melody and addictive rhythm and hook, 3.the choreography. For me, a more into logical type of person, I don't buy only trends, even my preference is sometimes against the trends. This includes ONEUS as my current K-POP boy group preference who is able to steal my heart by becoming all rounders (after I give up following K-POP boy groups for almost 7-8 years). Their music and performances touch my inner feelings and sincerely entertain me. That's why I won't stand still when people who don't do any proper research just judge ONEUS negatively. To those people: you better shut up if you know nothing. When you don't like it, just keep it to yourself.

Their stage is something that will be talked about and being analyzed because the detail, the story line, the hidden easter egg, the acting, everything is such a chefs kiss. I'm just scared that they'll rank low again, despite having such a good performance. The performances will once again be ranked solely by the other groups and they probably only got to see each other's performances once, but, in my opinion, you need to see this stage several times to fully grasp the meaning and notice all the amazing details. I'm scared that the other groups' reactions might be similar to those of all the reaction channels and other people that only focus on the choreography part of this stage. And they went first, so they might be overshadowed by the other groups that followed... On the other hand, the groups have the advantage of understanding the lyrics of the song, so they might be able to grasp the meaning of this performance better than the foreigners that only focus on the dance part. I just really hope they rank good, so all the effort they put into this song won't be wasted. I really find it amazing that they put so much work into this, they really did their research and planned the whole performance out perfectly, from all the roles and line distribution, not to mention all the hidden meanings and easter eggs. Yet the people dismiss it all just because the choreo isn't that flashy and impactful.

@@tvojamami732 Since during this episode, both ONEUS and ONF have only 6 members, the voting participants from each group are also 6 members. Hence both ONEUS and ONF have each 6 votes. The other groups having more than 6 members must only choose 6 members to vote. But all those voters cannot vote for their own team. Even though in another video they all have stated that they will try to vote objectively, who knows the deal between the voters within the same groups and the different groups. They all have their individual right to choose. I'll say for this part, it will be solely depend on destiny. What I mean is, when all groups have tried their best and after waiting for a long time and performing one each other, they may chat in their own room and it's all off camera. No one knows if let's say, one group has made a deal beforehand that the members of that group will vote for a certain group and vise versa. What if some of them or their management staff has had a chat or an agreement that they will take care of each other during the voting. I am sure that once all of the groups were offered by Mnet to join RTK, Mnet must have given them an overview that somehow the whole competition will resemble QUEENDOM, but the main difference is that RTK is a preshow before the equivalent of QUEENDOM which is KINGDOM. That means... these companies already have ideas of how the competition is gonna be like. The main difference between RTK and QUEENDOM in terms of voting is that during the live stage, RTK will allow international voting (although I don't get it clearly, either the international voting will be a real live vote by phone number OR the view of KZfaq or NAVER). No matter what the next detailed announcement regarding the addition of international voting method, what international fans are able to do at this moment is streaming the full performance video. The simple reason is that the more views indicate more support. KZfaq algorithm will do its job later by recognizing the video as a trending video, resulting in more chance for that video to be known and viewed by viewers worldwide. I call this as a benefit of KZfaq for the group whose videos are trending. They may not automatically get financial benefits from their own videos, but in a long term....when the group is having a comeback, the KZfaq exposure is expanding, making the group more easily to gain future views. For me personally, I have faith in ONEUS to be able to join top 5. But if they fail to move further, it's not a big deal. There will be a better future for them. But now, the problem with less screentime in each episode relates to the chance of being recognized by viewers. How do you expect RTK fans or any K-POP fan to know a group better if that group's hardwork is not fully shown on screen due to injustice in editing? Imagine the situation for ONEUS, working for days and weeks of preparation, but only 8:10 of screentime? Even ONEUS' personal airtime is terrible since in 8:10 there are also other groups' reaction. This is what I call evil editing. This is the root of unfairness in RTK. For the group participating, the simple logic is more screentime = more chance = more recognition = more interest = more viewers' engagement = better future promotion and vise versa. But for Mnet, THE CAPITALIST, this simple logic may look like this: "I don't care your logic. As long as there are more views during the real airtime = better rating for my station = better commercials = more money, while more views after the airtime (both in KZfaq and NAVER) = more money." That's it.

Hwanwoong looking sad at the end might also be bcs he kinda knew he fucked up and he would have to face the consequences/punishment as his actions are justified as ‘another violence’ instead of self-defense from the other people’s perspective that didn’t know hwanwoong was bullied before (eg: teachers). The other members at the end may be looking at hwanwoong from far away bcs they didn’t want to face the same punishment as hwanwoong. They acted like nothing happened, and didn’t associate themselves with hwanwoong at the end.

Ikr! Actually the hardest dance usually not a sharp and fast movement. The slow movement need so much effort to control without looking awkward and they actually hard! Not to mention you need to pay attention to every single sound to make your movement hit the right note, the facial expression (acting!!), and you need to deliver the meaning of your act all in one slow motion move. Oneus did that. Our kings did that perfectly.

yea i agree! all the performances were great, but i think it's especially creative to have a storyline like oneus and onf did. golcha also had that battle between the black and white swans. so cool! but oneus really stood out with their storytelling ability and use of props.

Well, I read that some people think that they used too many dancers, so dancers did almost all performance. And that the whole performance was too obvious. But I don't agree. Because Oneus used dancers to show the story that they want to tell. I guess that those people, just in my opinion, didn't pay attention that Oneus wanted to send a message, that they changed big picture. So sad...it seems that many people watched performance mostly, but not messages...HOWEVER now Oneus have so many Tomoons after RtK so...I am just happy to see them and see Tomoons^^

I always come back to videos like this and feel like there really are harsh truths about completions shows like this that has to be accepted. i think coming back to most reality and voting based shows it does play a lot into a weird system and shouldn’t be used to necessarily judge the groups personally. I’ve seen people blame the song choice as not fitting the category, which this song is still wildly famous in Korea due to its complex history and topics. All the other groups knew it and were stoked to hear it because of its reputation and being so iconic in Korea even if this song never reached the Western community of fans in the same way. I’ve seen people blame the lack of dance, and while I do think that factors in its because shows hold a reputation of visual first including dance. Audiences aren’t there to watch the performances and hear how they actually sound so it’s a judgement on the flashiest and hardest dances, not the strength of vocals, but that’s only a fraction. There’s the idea of too many dancers but plenty of groups could have had that same problem or bad camera work at capturing the dance, which I think is always a factor. But I think people need to understand the ultimate factors which comes down to biased voting; this isn’t to take away from the other groups but important to establish that without judges and mainly relying on fans to pick winners the groups that have a more established and more intense fanbase are always going to have higher chances in this shows. Networks know to use growing groups to draw in fans while establishing them as fodder for the larger fandoms set to participate. It sounds harsh but when I look at Oneus, VeriVery, and Golden Child’s fandoms during the Kingdom era (as fans of all three groups) I could see a mass difference between them TBZ and Pentagon [again, fandoms not necessarily the groups themselves]. All the groups gave solid performances and did amazing on the show so it’s unfair to use the system of first and last place to judge, but rather understand if there is not objective observer like judges looking for specific criteria to rate groups on it’s not going to be an accurate representation on who truly deserves what place they get.
