That was mesmerizing! I love your use of lambdas mixed in there. And the fact that it still took you 25 minutes even with hindsight is a testimony to Nick Boberg's success in creating a case at the perfect difficulty level. That is really hard to do!

Nice use of RegEx👍 Lambda + Data table on Level 7, Bonus 4,5 is perfect approach. Great job.👏👏👏

I know you said it was inelegant, but I am blown away by the simplicity of CONCAT(IF(map1=x,map2,""))

Haha - I guess it is kind of elegant in a way... it's certainly concise! I'd prefer something that could take the whole array as an argument, but no point letting the great be the enemy of the good : )

Great, looks like you did it the same way as me. I also got stumped on 4 a little by trying to mess around with circular references on the map then realised the simple way of calculating diagonal as the min between rows and columns then using the remainder. My only issue was I set it up so my start location was always from the boat instead of variable which made level 7 too difficult with my time left. I ended up assuming you get all treasures every time and that seemed to get me half the points there. On a redo with the answers file I did the final bonus very similarly but used a scan on each row running down to the end to do a cumulative total if oxygen is left is greater or above 200. The drop trick is way cleaner and faster. When watching Andrew the main difference I see is that he is just so fast with shortcuts and typing and doesn't try anything too fancy, often just blasting through with helper columns and tabs for models. He's very efficient at thinking about how to solve the problem as well, I expect he immediately saw to just calculate the distance in this way without thinking about circular references, adjusting the map, prewritten lambdas etc. I hope he uploads the solve so we can see. Your approach seems more purist, having so many complex tools at your disposal can make it tricky to think about which one is best to use rather than having one method that you get right into, at least for me I find that sometimes. Your different styles gives you advantages depending on the case like yours was great for sommelier and his in the nightmare case (even though marginally, he had to basically do your pre lambdas for dice etc during the case). Anyway I still have a lot to learn, that lambda to pull out addresses of cells is super useful so think I will make that one today for myself!

I think your take is basically on the money - Andrew is blazing fast (both at coming up with an approach, and at executing). I can sometimes get an edge when there's LAMBDA trickery to be done, but it's not obvious to me whether that's an overall positive or not - sometimes I watch his solutions and realize I overcomplicated things. But I still like my way! : )

Awesome as always, and reference to previous comment by HadynWiseman I am a 'purist' like Diarmuid but lack the experience and skill to always use those methods. At 19'38 can you confirm what was used to 'fill down' the answer for the other questions - thanks as always!

What Diarmuid used here is a data table. The hotkey strokes are ALT-D-A-T (successively).
