Road Trip #361 - Virginia State Route 8 South - US-58 to North Carolina State Line (Stuart)
We continue along Virginia SR-8, heading south. SR-8 briefly runs concurrent with US Highway 58 East, and then splits away and goes through the town of Stuart. SR-8 doubles as US-58 Business into town, and then SR-8 makes a right turn, avoiding the town center. An SR-8 business route runs through the downtown area. After leaving Stuart, we continue all the way to the North Carolina State Line where we conclude our video.

This is where my Grandma was born at.I’m trying to find our family 😩 she passed away in 2013 and really didn’t tell us much about her bloodline,she would cry every time she would try to tell us. Her name is Caroline Kathleen Ross Johnson

Try ancestry.com. You can get a pretty good bit of information without even getting a paid account. Also, most public libraries allow access for free. Then there's findagrave.com, which is very helpful in finding peoples' final resting place, and it often links up siblings and family members and links to obituaries. You can trace family members like that too.

Yes. This really makes me want to get back out into the mountains and take more backroads like this.

Yessir! We don't see mountains and winding roads like this where we're from, so it's a huge change of pace.

Definitely. Unfortunately, we were so exhausted by the time we got to this point that we couldn't enjoy it. I'm really seeing this for the first time while I edit the videos.

US-58 does not go into North Carolina. Route 8 does.

SR-8 turns off of US-58 at 01:52 and then we're on US-58 Business through Stuart until 03:21.

@@504RoadTrips I was pointing out that your title, "Virginia SR-8 South - US-58 to North Carolina State Line" is incorrect, in that US-58 does not lead to the NC state line.
