We decided to get out of Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur for the day and head into the Malaysian countryside. There's no better way to explore than to take a road trip with a local in Malaysia to get the real authentic experience of how a Malaysian spends their weekend and what there is to see outside of Kuala Lumpur. We head through the mountains outside the city along the scenic road to Negeri Sembilan to explore a lesser known province and beach town in Malaysia.

I think spare clothes (light clothing since it's hot/humid here), hoodie for the night, spare undies, your electronics, waterproof casings, waterproof money/ID pouch, nutrients bars (in case of tiredness). The rest like sandals, toiletries, mosquito repellent, raincoat you can pretty much buy in 7-11 or 99Speedmart (cheaper).

There is a border crossing between negeri sembilan and melaka that you can only go through by foot or motorbike. It is a water crossing by small ferry.

Nasi campur (campur = mix) is always better than nasi kandar in my personal opinion. More variety in tastes and cooking styles, and more veggies options.

The coconut drink isnt from the fruit but from tha stalk itself.

It's from Nipah Tree or its scientific name is Nypa Fruticans, it's the only palm tree that also count as mangrove tree, it also have a fruit but it a bit tasteless because the inside is like a jelly but taste like coconut,the water/juice that you drink come from the trunk that starting to budding a flower and not the fruit, they cut the trunk and massage the trunk using hard beat stick by beating it in certain rhythm so it can't harm and stunt the tree growth itself,then they put a plastic or something to let the water comes out but it take a long time,if I'm not mistaken it takes like one night or two because it will drop very slowly so yeah it's not very common drink that you can find in a city, the juice need to be fresh as possible because if let it stay too long it will become fermented and turned into an alcohol by itself, if the fresh juice cooked in correct way,it will turned into a palm sugar

Normally few type palm tree like coconut stalk may produced that kind sweet juice.. if fresh its sweet and nice.. even they make it as sugar... but dont kept its longer.. it will changed to alcohol and drunk if consumed it. Anyway that how the rural tribe produced their own alcohol...🤣😅

Malaysia have 2 legendary and secret place. - holy mount Ophir ( gunung ledang ) at Melaka. Too many Jewish people around the world come to Malaysia for pray at mount Ophir. - top secret holy waterfall lurah danum at Sarawak . Only for royal family especially British royal family. Guard by Malaysia royal army and rangers

Dear, you should comtinue your journey sraight to Melaka which is on an hour away. That is the UNESCO heritage..you miss the delicious food there where you cant get it as delicious in KL ..next trip maybe go north such as genting highland , ipoh and penang. You should get a driver whom actually knows how to bring you around looking for good food. Those food you have eaten are not famous. They are just merely mix rice with some vege..
