A road being washed out during a flash flood. If you remember anything after watching this clip it should be "turn around, don't drown"

Great camera, Eric Snodgrass, congratulations for posting what you witnessed. There are similar incidents of roads washing out in Colombia, Sibundoy Valley, Putumayo. But those washing outs were caused by abused of extraction of gravel material for a new road construction.

This looks like somewhere in GA. One year we had a creek wash out a portion of a road down a hill just like this. Silver Run Creek in McDuffie County, GA or Columbia County, GA. Looks just like it!

One gallon (imp) of water at rest weighs 9.8 pounds. Given kinetic energy (gravity) since water always seeks the lowest point, now add increased volume and you have the exponentially expanding destructiveness of water in motion. Literally nothing will stand in it's way!

It's the tunnel that the river normally flows through, but it's too small to handle the flash flood so the water backs up and flows over the road.
