I love mine.. its an 07.. still drives like new. No worries driving out of town. I improved the fuel mileage to 16.5mpg by installing an oil catch can cleaning the throttle body And upgrading the ignition. I have own it for 6 years and i have other cars to drive around town for short trips to the store. I will buy another if someone wrecks into it. But i dont like the newer body style.

@@AlanTrades msd red big coils 580. dollars . Decarboning the engine is a must. Before new plugs.. these engines will destroy cam bearings first at around 180 to 220 miles. A catch can will make your oil last longer. Im rebuilding mine because I'm putting a torque cam and deleting vvt. I did my friends and he loves it and I got a little jealous.

@@AlanTrades Put an oil catch can on 1st then clean your throttle body. Drive a few days then clean your throttle again. Do not decarbonate the engine if you do not know what you are doing. (Hydrolock)..It's OK a clean burning engine will burn most off. After a few days of cleaning engine and high octane fuel. Then change your plugs. Also the drivers side valve cover should be replaced with updated version or modified. (Drill a few holes in baffle) I have done several..let me know I never get tired of helping

What I realized is that the Escalade changed the shape of its lights in 07. They used to have that square-like light type, but now they have a triangle/oval like light type. I think the Escalade gets 12 city 19 hwy. In 09, it's going to get 14 city and 22 hwy. It's hybrid is going to get 18 city and 25 hwy. I don't care though. Beastly SUV... Cadillacs rule.

Cadillac Escalade is a very nice car indeed. The one ill got now is from 99 and ill never got any problem what so ever with it. Who cares if the wonderful engine is a bit thirsty ,its worth every penny to ride that car. Only reason to sell it would be just to buy a newer one (:

i got an o7, love this thing, it's fast, quite inside, you see everything when you drive a big suv..the Range Rover comes close but it just looks too dainty/girly..

I agree both of my parents both own escalades less than 2 years old and my mom's chrome strip on the side has fallen off twice now and both of the cars tire pressure monitoring systems are broken and think that the wheels are always flat. The only plus is that they are actually really fast (faster than a civic si) they go 0-60 in the same time as my 2008 Mercedes C350.

The Escalade is Beautiful and drives nice BUT still has old solid axle rear suspension and third seat that doesn't fold into the floor but has to be stored in your basement,the same as trucks from 20 years ago! Did I say trucks!?! The Escalade does NOT have a Low Range Transfer Case for off roading or pulling heavy boats out of the water so its not really a truck either.Its a beautiful huge station wagon or mini van ! Of course all those status seekers will like the looks they get at the mall.

I'm from Czech republic.. and every day I meet approx..30 bmw x5,x6 = btw i don't like them, audi Q7 and Q5, Mercedes Benz GL or G and GLK too.. and couple Range Rovers..but only 1-2 Escalades in a half year... so now I'm student on college but when I have money to buy it ESCALDE ESV IS THE exactly thing which i spend my money for it! I love this car it's awesome!!!

You probably don't know anything about this truck I went and sat in one at a dealership and all the materials are top notch, definitely on par with the stuff Merc and BMW put in their SUVs that break down after 10,000 miles. It's also faster than a Range Rover sport and gets just as good if not better gas mileage.

Escalade is a sexy SUV for all people, my white cousin has one. The chrome and power is just amazing. Anyone who cannot see that is obviously blind.

both esclade and navi are kings , but the space is much better in navi than cadilac

it's a nice truck.... but with few flaws. I went in one in a car show and it lacks leg room in the 3rd row. 1st and 2nd row are very comfortable. If only it had bluetooth and better leg room, i'll buy or lease one for sure

The Navigator's major downfall is power, 300 horsepower is just not enough. That alone makes the Escalade better in my opinion, a great car must have good power and 6.5 seconds 0-60 is definitely good.

they don't. Automatics only, I doubt any large size SUVs have manual transmissions in N. america.

Only idiots would hate the escalade. I love mine though im not worried about the bad mpg. Escalades are the BEST!

right, maybe, but Yukon Denali is really similar. Just a little less sportier and stronger from an Escalade, and you have a GMC Yukon Denali. Absolute same interiors... Yukon Denali is what, $51,000? Escalade is $55,000. I was actually expecting the Denali to be a LITTLE bit more...

We have 2 new escalades and they are the best SUV you can buy. They are not chevy's with a cadillac badge, their horsepower is surpassed only by the porsche cayenne in suv's and you can feel that when you floor it.

yo, i just got the 2008 escalade! rode it to the shore. but when i rode through a bump, i heard a squeaking or ticking noise on the passenger side. continued untill i got home. drove it to work and the same problem. can anyone HELP??? I need escalade owners only to answer this. if this is a problem, i will have to send it to the dealer.

but can the civic have at least 5 people in it COMFORTABLY, and tow 8100 pounds, not to mention have AWD? my bro has got an 08 escalade, and he has had any problems with it

The 08 Cadillac Escalade has gone Hybrid,which is more efficient than its predecessors. And the ppl who can afford such a vehicle won't care too much about oil price.And a old economic car definitely consumes more gas than a brand new Escalade.

stanbernadino - I freakin luv the Escalade! But one of the best cars ever made? Pleeeease..based on a platform and technology already outdated compared to SUVs in Europe..American manufacturers could learn a thing or two from Europe..first and foremost the quality of American interiors suck..and fuel consumption is insane..but I would still like to have a Caddie Esca! : )

Duh, the Volvo has a turbocharger funny how you left that out. The Renault Megane is...well it's French so not only is it crap but the reliability is too. The Escalade is the best value in a luxury SUV out there and it has very good reliability, even the Range Rover 'Sport' isn't as fast and it gets worse gas mileage.

Hell no. Picture this. The new Escalade (with an included PS3, XBOX360, Wii, and two TV's) has 426 horsepower, and it costs 60 grand. The new Navigator with none of the above has 380 horsepower, and it costs 42 grand. Think again.

that greenpeace vid shows exactly what's wrong with environmentalists. Just because the guy had an SUV they spit in his coffee and acted like douchebags. Judging somebody on the type of car they drive is like judging them on the color of their skin, equally as petty. Thankfully I still live in a country where I'm free to drive the vehicle of my choice without having people dictate what kind of car I can have.

its all about class level and the way its marketed to you say if a woman had $3,000 to blow on a handbag she have a choice between a $3,000 guicci or buy $3000 worth of $50 no namebrand cheap handbags 9 times out of 10 she is going to pick the guicci. face it thats just the way half the world think if it have a powerful name behind it we will pay every dime we have on it just to feel on a higher class level.

Rofl you have to take in the mirrors with a button. A standard Renault Megane does that automatic. And it has VVT, just like Suzuki's have had for years. Oh yeah, 400 HP out of a 6,5 litre enginge. A Volvo S60R has 300 HP out of a 2,5 litre. This escalade is funny. :)

my be the owner import it by him self , and handle all charges , ive seen GMC youkon in london !!!! and the owner told me that he import it by his own , and handeled all the charges , ofcourse this will cost you a lot .....!!!!!!

Maybe you can explain to me why, if european SUV's are so much more up-to-date then ours, then how come their reliability stinks compared to ours? (ie Land Rover, Volkswagen Toureg). Your SUV's may be more advanced, but they are not built to last, or else they wouldn't have such crappy reliability. I'm not saying I don't like european suv's, the Range Rover Sport and Porche Cayenne are pretty damn nice but they are way overpriced and not built well enough for me to buy one.

first im not that speddy driver , and spedding in suv is too fatal , even with stabelity technologis , second german cars are made for there environment , not for midlle east where it reaches 53 in summer !!!!

= means similar to, close to GMC Yukon = Chevy Tahoe GMC Yukon XL = Chevy Suburban GMC Yukon Denali = Cadillac Escalade GMC Yukon XL Denali = Cadillac Escalade ESV Yukon's interior sucks. Yukon Denali's interior is very similar to that of the Escalade's.
