This car is not a competitor to the Q5, or MDX that the reviewer insists on comparing to. It's for people who don't need to carry stuff and who want lux and style. The bonus is the 300HP and 250 of torque. This car walks all over the Q5 and MDX in performance. And for the occasional run to costco or home depot you put the seats down (with a switch). I just bought a CPO 2012 with 19 wheels, 7sp auto, Xenons, Nav, Camera's and Heated Leather for half the price of a new one and have a full factory warranty. Nothing came close in terms of value and we looked at the 2015 Golf's, Lexus' NSX and CT Hybrid hatch. This was a no brainer if you need a hatch and don't have kids.

Have had a 2008 EX Journey and it's beautiful.

I have the Infiniti EX35 and the steering and handling are great, it is a pretty fast car that can get going. It's like the "wolverine" of the road, small, but bad ass with a lot of attitude. What I don't care for is the lack of available space in the seating and storage compartments. Yes, the back seats fold down, but...and that backseat is only enough room for small children, hobbits and short people who are 5'4 or shorter. I don't recommend this car for taller or big people. I'm 6'4 and my driver seat is as far back as it can go. But I'm the only one who is ever in my car, with an occasional friend or two. Everyone who rides in it loves how nice it is and compliments the car when they get in it, repeatedly in fact. As if they are surprised that it would be that nice, from looking at it on the outside. But I've only had two people acknowledge how small the interior feels. It is a very intimate interior. It's my "wolverine"; Small, powerful, bad ass.

Hey Jessi, how do you guys determine the base price of the EX35? I thought it had a base price of $33,800 for the basic EX35? Is that price you have listed reffering to the MSRP of the basic Journey package for the test car your drove? I was under the impression the basic EX35 started lower then the Audi Q5 at $35,200 and the Mercedes GLK at $35,000?

@Johncarson9113 Ehhh, rear passenger space is an issue with most of the Infiniti line up. Even my 07 G sedan back seats don't fit big people that well

@apexi957 There is another one of these coming out, even smaller and more compact lol. I like the Infiniti EX35 but space is crucial in that car, rumors are a 2012 Infiniti DX crossover is due to debut soon. I can even imagine how rear passengers will be able to sit.

The even don't have a power lift gate in this luxury car. When it 60f outside and you try to open the lift gate, you have to fully pull it up. That's because the cold air under those plungers or whatever doesn't help you. But when the weather is warm the lift gate works well. That's something you won't in any fancy review.

@Sornrasug I agree with you. I'm 5'6," and in my driving position, I STILL feel cramped in that thing. I'd go with the FX35 or maybe the FX50. ;)

I have a 2010 Infiniti journey fully loaded, my wife a 2010 Lexus rx350 fully equipped and rx doesn't have any of the drawbacks I just mentioned.

I like the RDX Turbo, I think its a better deal, it also look better, more expensive then the EX but the EX has the surround camera feature that kills the RDX

the problem w/ the ex is that the back seat and the trunk is a joke. why buy a cramped crossover with less room than a sedan?

Its really odd I checked the fuel economy and its 17/24 NOT 16/23....16/23 is for the AWD model.

I really like the way this car looks but the intirior is cramped for anyone larger than 5'7 it almost feals smaller than the g35 sedan.

Looks like you sit really low in the car. I hate that because it cuts bumper visibility and you feel like you don't have as much control compared to a higher seat.

Sorry. They advertise EX as a family car too. There was no way I could've predicted the issue upon buying the car. Unless I brought a baby seat and booster seat to the dealership.

@Johncarson9113 I mean it's not as bad as i make it to. My friends can fit there, they're all generally 5,8 or 5,9 +. The cars in the same class generally have better back seat space then Infiniti's even FX's have smaller space compared to other cars. However my G has A LOT more space then my mom's 09 Audi A4

@apexi957 Really?? I have the 09 G37 sedan, I actually think it has more then sufficient space for rear passengers, especially when you compare the G sedan to its competitors. I use to drive the 07 BMW 328i sedan before I traded it in for the G37, so I guess thats why I see the difference alot more, when compared to the space of the 3 series the G sedan feels like an "SUV". So far im real content with Infiniti, Ive been a loyal customer but I like to cross shop sometimes. Its a great car.

Ex has is not as responsive as it could've been. Even in the DS mode it makes a pause before you order it to accelerate. The are ventilated rotors in the front and plain in the back? What's wrong? They installed vented rotors everywhere on fx. No automated rollback function on the rear windows. This is where actually you need it for your kids. But only the front windows have this function. @mokos23 No, I'm not going to get the EX35. I would rather know that I am much safer in a Volvo, regardless of price. Besides, I personally believe the EX35's are ugly anyways. I think I am just going to go to the Volvo dealer tomorrow and look at a XC60 ...

@madridy4life Audi Q5 is way overpriced for what it is, plus it has shitty ass reliablity compared to the Infiniti :) So the Infiniti is a bargain compared to it.
