LYRICS
I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much times has passed,
Oh God it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you that
Forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head
Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much times has passed,
Oh God it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you that
Forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head
How do you feel? That is the question.
But I forget you don't expect an easy answer.
When something like a soul becomes initialized and folded up like
Paper dolls and little notes, you can't expect a bit of hope
So while you're outside looking in, describing what you see
Remember what you're starting at is me.
Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much times has passed,
Oh God it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you that
Forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head
How much is real? So much to question.
An epidemic of the mannequins contaminating everything
We thought came from the heart, but never did right from the start
Just listen to the noises - null and void instead of voices
Before you tell yourself it's just a different scene
Remember it's just different from what you see
I'm looking at you through the glass, don't know how much times has passed,
All I know is that it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you that
Forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head
And it's the stars, the stars that shine for you
And it's the stars, the stars that lie to you
And it's the stars, the stars that shine for you
And it's the stars, the stars that lie to you
I'm looking at you through the glass, don't know how much times has passed,
All I know is that it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you that
Forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head
Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much times has passed,
Oh God it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you that
Forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head
And it's the stars, the stars that shine for you
And it's the stars, the stars that lie to you
And it's the stars, the stars that shine for you
And it's the stars, the stars that lie to you

My younger brother committed suicide last weekend by overdosing on something. He was found with headphones on, presumably listening to something. This is his youtube account. He made a playlist containing 6 songs that was edited the day he passed. This is one of the 6 songs. With the method he used, he was dead after about 30 minutes, probably unconscious around 12 minutes. I like to think that it was peaceful for him with his music on. I love you Myles, I'll miss you everyday for the rest of my life.

Here’s how to predict the future: just view some very disturbing images, then look at some hardcore eyebleach. After that, drink two cans of Vanilla Coke Zero™️ after eating four pieces of bacon, then down both of those with three bottles of water. Sleep with a good schedule for a week, then hit yourself in the head with a pillow about twenty times. And there you go. Although, be careful on some parts, particularly part one and two.

I feel like this is an underrated song in music history (especially modern music released in the 2000s). The guitar work is simply beautiful. The sound and production was done perfectly. The vocals are stunning. The song’s progression from its dark and mysterious acoustic intro with no percussion, the band joining in, a grungy rock bit, then an epic buildup into a powerful hard rock outro…this couldn’t have been executed more masterfully. In almost every way this is an exceptional song and deserves more recognition in general.

This song took on a whole new meaning for me when I had to see my dad pass away through a glass door to a room I wasn't allowed into because of covid restrictions. Gave me chills when I heard this on the radio the next day, I still get chills a year later. _ Edit: Thank you everyone for your kind comments, they mean a lot to me when I see a notification pop up once in awhile. For some context, he had pneumonia but the doctors weren't sure if it was covid. It wasn't until after he passed away we found out he was negative.. he wasn't in the hospital for very long. My heart goes out to anyone who lost a loved one during the pandemic because I'd imagine our experiences were very similar, and I know it's not easy at all.

I started listening to stone sour before starting to listen to slipknot 😂 Took me some time to get used to, to be honest 😂 But it was not as shocking, as you propably imagined. I had heard some slipknot songs before, but I hadn't noticed that this was corey singing/screaming, until someone pointed it out. Started to listen to both bands afterwards, but I still prefer stone sour just a tiiiiny bit, because I'm more used to this softer side of his voice. My boyfriend is the opposite, he just recently learned about stone sour, but would never ever listen to them, its too soft for his liking... Good thing I like both bands I guess 😂

My brother overdosed in January. This was the 1st song on the Playlist for his funeral. MY mom And I had to meet with the cemetery manager today to pick a plot for his burial. I had the radio on. Take a moment to think that this man's the lead singer of what non-metalheads think it's some satan summoning cult... And also the man who shamelessly sang the SpongeBob theme in from of thousands of people

I'm looking at you through the glass Don't know how much time has passed Oh God, it feels like forever But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home Sitting all alone inside your head 'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass Don't know how much time has passed All I know is that it feels like forever When no one ever tells you that forever feels like home Sitting all alone inside your head How do you feel? That is the question But I forget you don't expect an easy answer When something like a soul becomes initialized And folded up like paper dolls and little notes You can't expect a bit of hope And while you're outside looking in Describing what you see Remember what you're staring at is me 'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass Don't know how much time has passed All I know is that it feels like forever When no one ever tells you that forever feels like home Sitting all alone inside your head How much is real? So much to question An epidemic of the mannequins Contaminating everything When thought came from the heart It never did right from the start Just listen to the noises (Null and void instead of voices) Before you tell yourself It's just a different scene Remember it's just different from what you've seen I'm looking at you through the glass Don't know how much time has passed And all I know is that it feels like forever When no one ever tells you that forever feels like home Sitting all alone inside your head 'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass Don't know how much time has passed All I know is that it feels like forever When no one ever tells you that forever feels like home Sitting all alone inside your head And it's the stars The stars that shine for you And it's the stars The stars that lie to you And it's the stars The stars that shine for you And it's the stars The stars that lie to you I'm looking at you through the glass Don't know how much time has passed Oh God, it feels like forever But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home Sitting all alone inside your head 'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass Don't know how much time has passed All I know is that it feels like forever But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home Sitting all alone inside your head And it's the stars The stars that shine for you And it's the stars The stars that lie to you And it's the stars The stars that shine for you And it's the stars The stars that lie to you Who are the stars Who are the stars, they lie

Must have heard this in the 90's when I was a kid. My family and their friends would get together and go camping and party along the river, drinking around the campfire and what not. Their friends kids would be there too, my friends at the time.. we were probably like 7 or so. This was one of the songs I remember playing on the radio. Don't remember hearing it since then.. forgot all about it. Now, about 25yrs later, I woke up in the middle of the night and RANDOMLY heard this song playing in my head VERY CLEARLY, EXACT WORD FOR WORD, which brought back all those memories and feelings 25yrs ago. So I typed the lyrics into KZfaq and whaddya know? This song pops up. The fact music can do this to someone brought me a lot of joy. Hope it hits others in the feels like it did me. Enjoy... "Oh God, it feels like forever..."
