@@Chris-ey8zf They aren’t all just rehashed CK2 DLC’s for one. Landless gameplay has literally never been done before. Also, Ck2 didn’t have this form of government. Byzantine imperial was different. We have no idea how good or bad this DLC might be yet, so brighten up a little! At least until we get some more info.

Hedge knights would absolutely live in a camp and courtiers would be estate holders typically. They've already let us know that part of the gameplay will be climbing the beauracray as an unlanded character. That would presumably be playing as a courtier unless they've developed an entirely different system. Regardless if you a courtier as the game defines it, you still have to be a player at court to climb the imperial bureaucracy

Yeah. Landless for now seems just a normal gameplay but instead of count title you have a camp title that moves

There is no reason for China to be in this game. Even India is a massive stretch. The entire sub-continent would need like 3-4 DLCs worth of content to be fully fleshed out thing worth its addition instead of what it is now. Indus river is a very natural, and sensible cut-off point.

@@4Xtraordinaire Personally I am operating under the assumption they will add the India and China features we had in CK2 then do the adding of China geographically. But moreso I was expressing my frustration at the devs always falling back on "technological issues" for why we don't have X or Y feature. With the addition of adventurers though I do believe China would, even if it was just an off-map place you could visit, add a lot of interesting storytelling a la Marco Polo.

China WOULD be a performance hit but most importantly the vast majority of players simply don't care about China hell most people don't even play anything outside of europe

@@Knowasi it isn't just an excuse, basically all paradox titles suffer from performance issues especially during a longer play through and titles like Stellaris are also victims of it, these issues are caused by the nature of the games which is simulations, every single character in the game be it a lord of a domain or a courtier or even a guest is constantly taking part in events or participating in schemes there are thousands of characters in the game that are all simulated at the same time constantly, to add a place like china into that would exasperate that issue beyond control and to do the history of China justice would be a massive massive undertaking china's inherent size and complexity during the time frame of 867 and 1453 is comparable to essentially all of Christianized Europe which in itself is still extremely barebones, this time line alone covers 4 different dynasties that all had relatively different cultures and religious philosophies. they certainly could add it in some form, it'd be extremely exciting for sure but like i said to do it justice would take years of development and currently it's more apt for paradox to focus on deepening the game rather than what they have been doing so far which is making the game wider, the way i see Crusader Kings 3 currently is that it's a very wide lake that is only knee deep, there's lots of places to play and lots of things to do but the depth is the same all over, there's no excitement or depth anywhere if you've been to one side of the lake you'll know what the rest of it is like.

The community as a whole is still going to look for DLC releases to be polished and at or near the pricing they are listed at value-wise, even if that is hard to discern sometimes. That's something that I think most people will agree are realistic expectations. While no two people are going to have the exact same 'expectations', I think they have similar complaints to where the game is lacking, and the expansions thus far have been fairly generalist in the mechanics they rework

Some of the threads on Paradox Plaza are far more detailed on the entire matter than I could ever be in a single video. If you want the full ‘breakdown’, I’ve made past videos on LotD’s fallout, and the developer’s response thread on Paradox Plaza illustrates a lot of community concerns

i think so too, if they release new dlcs for at least 5-7 years. that would be great. i think it has more potential than most strategy games.

Because ultimately their regional paid content hasn’t received positive reviews and a lack of things to do during CK3’s downtime has been a major complaint

@@ahmeterkanaltunbulak711 courtiers leave your court all the time, usually doesn't even give you a notification. Guest have minimal interactions if they aren't commissioned to build an artifact.

At its core CK3 is funded by paid content. Substantial free updates that fix those issues are unlikely without positively received expansions

This comment makes it seem like paid content is given out for free, and that there was nothing positive said about RTP in the video - both are false
