Nothing beats the convertible of the Gladiator! I just wish they had a good option to store at least the front roofs. A couple more inches in the cab and they could have gone behind the back seat.

As a Mojave owner, its almost in a class of its own. drives everyday better than most Jeeps, can handle forest roads well and can still crawl better than most. Well rounded off roader and decently affordable compared to most trucks today. But I will have to say the Raptor is leaps n bounds better in high speed off road and likely drives much better on the road. Far superior power and towing. Biggest downside? In Canada you can almost buy two Gladiators for price of a new Raptor

The mojave has a snorkel option though so it can have a much better fording depth.

Power to weight or Weight to Power Ratio???? 1:42 Your chart is labeled power to weight ratio, your bars show 12.66:1 which I suppose is pounds of weight per horsepower. 5697 lbs / 450 hp. In the woods of Mav "I was inverted"

Love this graph paper format! You missed the front Torsen differential of the Raptor 802A. It is better then a front locker because it works in 4HI at any speed.

Jeep is a culture that will never die! If I spend $30k on my gladiator can get a lot more toys put on the jeep. Then it will just be the same price as the raptor.

sure the EcoBoost makes more power and torque. but that sound when one drives by? ugh. i have also heard (anecdotally) that the twin-turbo is less reliable than the V8, is that true? my neighbor has en EcoBoost F-150 that is good to drive unladen but when he puts it to work towing his boat or carrying max payload his truck overheats and the turbos cook his oil.

Actually, they found one at another dealership that met most of my requirements and they added the missing items and I picked it up last week. Sorry you have to wait. Best of luck.

Agree 100%. Do it once and that's the last time. Plus the heat during the Summer in the South or Southwest is ridiculous. I wish Jeep would build the Gladiator with a fixed insulated steel roof. Removable roofs are full of compromises and complications that aren't worth the cost. Get a true convertible if you want to go topless. They're pretty good these days and quick to put down and up.

Lol I've had a wj 4.7 H.O for 16+ years. But hey whatever helps u sleep at night. If u think raptors will be realible for that long with its ecobust plastic oil pans and Cam phasers. Good luck.

Had a 2019 Raptor and a 2017 Rubicon. The Raptor could beat it on everything except maybe a rock crawl requiring a short wheel base.

Are you sure about 34" tires? I believe 35" KO2's are stock on the Raptor. No?

True to size measurements are 34” and 32.5”. Bfg always run small where as Falken run closer to true size.

It’s great that the Jeep offers a manual transmission but you can’t buy it right now. Why? Because there is a recall on the pressure plate which can overheat and blow a hole in the transmission and cause a fire. And yes, this has already happened to some owners. The best part is FCA has no solution to the problem at the moment! I want a Jeep so badly but the horrible reliability keeps me away.

Il take an ls swapped CJ-8 for 1/3 the price. Chrysler totally botched the gladiator in comparison to the concept back in the early 2000s.

Saying who cares if it's a twin turbo V6 because it puts out more horsepower? Long term reliability does. We'll be watching to see how that goes.

my neighbor has an EcoBoost F-150 that drives fine when unladen. When he gets his boat behind him or heavy payload? His truck overheats. My guess is that his turbos are spooled up the entire time and I can imagine how hot that gets. He had to get a supplemental radiator installed as well as an oil cooler.

Jeep has a turbo diesel option now with approx 440lbft of torque and gets 25mpg

@@bfarm44 the Raptor I was referring to was the 6.2 that got 3rd in the Baja. Now I'm not a huge fan of the EcoBoost however, the raptor EcoBoost is not the same setup as the basic TT 3.5, thus making it much more reliable. Haven't seen or known anyone with any major issues yet and I know of quite a few of them. That being said, I did walk out of the gym a few weeks ago to a Jeep burning in it's parking space due to an electrical fire. 😂🤔
