Fat bear favorite? The immense 747 climbs down the hill to Brooks falls, catches a few fish, has a standoff with 32 Chunk, and sploots while eating his catch.

I love how he didn't take the easy fish on the rock from the bird and like a gentleman he went and caught his own fish!! What a good boy!!

its prob waste from other bear, bcs they usually eat only females and only skin and eggs ( they contain most of the fat in fish), means when they catch male they let it go

He comes back to the river from hibernation as fat or fatter than some other bears in September/October. 🤣

You can see it in his eyes he didn't look angry or anything he just wanted to get food I bet he probably wouldn't do anything as long as you kept your distance he looks old but wise beautiful animal

He's very used to people too. The park gets hundreds of visitors per day and he hasn't cared about them for over 20 years. So much salmon, no need to care about people.

Not sure about height but he’s in his early 20s and can weigh around 1400lbs in the fall when he’s his fattest.

I can't say if he'll win "The Fat Bear" title. BUT he has the "Most Dangerous Manicure" of any bear at the Falls! Worn proudly, with style and grace in the fashion forward color of Bear poopy brown. He looks like he has stuck his entire head into a running cement mixer. Bashed, tattered, torn and scars on scars. I can not imagine meeting him by accident when he is full, let alone if he was hungry. SCARS!!! Now we need to KNOW the NAME of the cement mixer that chewed on 747's head.

Some of his shedding bald spots make him look rough but once his coat evens out he is gorgeous

Plot twist : all muscle 😛 when running full sprint it can take down a cheetah and don’t think your safe if your up on a ridge and chonky is in a valley 😬
