Regularly described as one of the top 5 most dangerous roads in the world, the Zig Zag stretch of Road of a Thousand Kasbah’s is not for the faint hearted. With sheer drop cliffs, no barriers, hair pin bends and steep gradients Steve steered our 9m Motorhome to the very top to experience the incredible views.

And carefully made our way back down the Zig Zag road from the top of Dadès Gorges.

Brings back memories . We went up the Atlas mountains 38yrs ago, the roads look a lot better now, it was quite scary. Also went to a Burbou feast up in the mountains which was great.

Hiya Steve Your air con problems could simply be that the outside unit is freezing up due to excessive use in extreme heat. Try running it for shorter periods or save main use for sleeping. Good luck Love your videos, hope you have a safe journey home. Chris and Claire

Lucky you , I’m Moroccan but I’ve never been in that area , I know people who’ve been there . Not easy to drive on that road especially at night . Enjoy your trip round Morocco . I actually live in Germany and I also lived in Uk but this was a long time ago .

Our home ac used to freeze up and only blow hot air. The maintenance guy said it was running so much that it froze up. We had to let it defrost and it would start cooling again. Sounds similar to your issue. Love your videos!

Why don’t you make your own cooling system. 1 need box with a lid 2 need 1 pipe about 2 inches round 3 small electric fan To make it you need to cut a hole at the top for the fan A hole in the side of the box for the pipe to go in Then just add ice and water in there and switch on Loving the show Can’t wait for the next episode

Without looking back through your vids, which Truma do you have? Their website gives a maximum deployment temperature of 40 degrees. Keep cool both!

Great drive and amazing scenery - pity about the air con! I am no expert, but what I suspect is happening is your condenser coil (the one at the back on the roof) is clogged with all the dust and grime you’ve picked up along the way. The restricted air flow is causing the compressor to cut out on thermal overload, therefore causing it to stop cooling. Which is why it restarts and works for a little while when it cools again. If you can, use your ladder and spray the back of the air con unit with a forceful hose - if you can get hold of one - and give it a really good blast of water to clean as much of the dust off your coil! Good luck - enjoy the rest of your trip…. With working air con hopefully!!

We love these sort of drives. Our favourites are the ski resorts and beyond of the Pyrennes. Tip I got many years ago from driving artics. Go down in 1st gear. Its the safe sensible way. By the way. All ski resorts must be able to get lorries up to service the ski lifts. That means they are accessible. We just love switchbacks. Also we follow on TV all the major bike races. The helicoptor views are very valuable as to road width and access for a motorvan.

I couldn’t see many potholes (haha) when you were driving that road. Well driven👍 You mention the colours of the rock from light to dark What a wonderful 🌎 we live on. I would get a bit claustrophobic if was there for more than a few hours. In 1984 and 2004 I holidayed at the top of Lake Garda and a day trip into the Dolomites Mountain Range which was a bit scary and that was in a coach😱😱😳😳 🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿❤️👍

After all this heat without the air conditioner l suggest you El Saouira on the Atlantic Ocean lovely city it used to be portogish and called Mogador the best place to rest and enjoy good fish and seafood the best one in Morocco a lot of places to visit and beach is very large good luck and wish you the best and more vedeos

Hi , Yet another fantastic Vlog, THere's nothing worse than melting in a van with no aircon, I carry a smal personal; air cooler with me ( no aircon in my van) its more than enough to cool things down and if you fill the reservoir with ice rather than water you can get a really good chilled breeze, they are cheap and small and worth carrying as a backup . cheers and thanks for great entertainment😁

Have been to that cafe at the top of the gorge. On the cliff over the valley we watched a young lad herding goats, could not believe how steep it was up there. Unbelievable views.
