I feel you on the self-determined end. My dad had several strokes while in the hospital. Brainwaves down, body going to sh-t, lung full of pus, heart stopped several times. After it was absolutely certain there was no coming back, we made the decision to let him go. May our dads rest in piece. They‘ve earned it. 🙏 -- PS: General advice: Speak with your family about how they should handle such extreme circumstances. They can only represent your choices if they know what you want. Also, if you have the financial security for it, I‘d suggest setting up a funeral insurance (or whatever it might be called in your country). I set aside 5 € each month, and the end sum can only be paid out upon showing them my death certificate. Having to organize a funeral is nightmare enough, at least there is a guaranteed amount of money to ease the stress of paying the bill.

I want to hear some Brethren Moon origin theories. Were they a once peaceful species that evolved to control their bodies down to the molecular level enough to even animate dead organisms? We’re they the constructs of markers built by a highly advanced soecies from another galaxy? Are they extradimensional? Maybe one of the first (or the very first) species to evolve after the Big Bang? I’d really like some more light shed on that.

@@spartana1116 If that were true, the whole "evolving a species to hyper intelligence" part of the lore wouldn't make sense. If these were suppose to be bio weapons, then why were they placed on planets that had little to no life to begin with? Both humanity and the tau-volanthians evolved the way they did because of the signals from the markers on their respective planets.

IMO they were a parasitic organism that evolved symbiotic traits over time. The fact that they developed to coevolve with electricity producing species simply means they have wiped out intelligent species for an extremely long time. Hopefully they don't do a retcon like the xenomorphs in "Alien" where they are genetically engineered weapons instead of perfect organisms that have evolved over a long time.

Maan, Roanoke. You moved to Seattle? Haven’t you seen enough of ‘Seattle.looks.like.shxt’? I grew up in Washington and moved away at 20. Best thing I can recommend is checking out the Olympic National Forest, Mt. St. Helens/ the Cascades, and the coast. Drive to Edmonds, about an hour or so north of you, give or take traffic, hop on the ferry to Kingston, and drive to Port Angeles. Then from there, drive the entire coast. All the way down to Ocean Shores. I’d recommend doing this in the summer. Late July/early August. My best friends and I did the reverse when we were 19, and I still remember all of it. I only go back to WA to see my family, and to see the ocean. It’s definitely a breathtaking state.

Great video man! I would love to get your thoughts on the things that happen in 'the expanse'. Allthough, it's like 6 seasons so it'd be a slog to get through everything

I find it funny how from space its just a big crater where they took out the chunk out of aegis 7, but when issac is on the ground its just a crater he can easily look over, the dimensions are really not working out :'D

His "viral bacteria" rant has some good points especially on the genome stealing, That's one of the leading theories for why mammals have plasentile birth. We stole that shit from bacteria millions of years ago.

Mr Roanoke one correction, Aegis 7 was not inhabited at all and the CEC stashed the marker found on Earth there many-many years prior to the Isymura cracking the planet. The planet was not suppose to be messed with but the captain said fuck it and basically doomed all of humanity.

Planet Terror Herpes Zombies would be interesting. Also, love that Dead Space is alive and well in Roanoke. Or, maybe the Brightburn evil Superman. I always wondered if different solar radiation or gravity could essentially make you stronger (thank DBZ for the dumb idea.)

Also, an actual fun fact: Your skin is technically an organ, made of three layers. The very outer layer that we can see is essentially just dead cells, and that's what dandruff is. IIRC, there are also mites that specifically eat your dead skin cells, and IIRC if you have too many, or not enough, it can actually cause problems with your skin.

Roanoke can please do what you did before where you did the summary first and chapter it ? I dont understand science stuff at all and it makes me depressed to wait for 30 secs of good summary by listening through 6 mins of stuff. I am mainly in this channel for your cool summaries. I promise you that i listen to all your videos in Roanoke Tales.

Hey, I wonder how the FEAR series of enemies and entities would be on a video series... between the psionic and telepathic connections between the replicas and commanders such as Fettel and the more unnatural enemies in that series.
