Roaring and lid-flipping Volvo Heil STARRs

A late afternoon visit to Rogue Disposal's operation in Medford, OR was a lot more fun than I remember. The Heil STARR (Semi Trailer Automated Rapid Rail) trucks they ran at the time made for a great show, so I decided to tidy up this video and share it today in honor of Rogue's recent sellout. I found it interesting how the first truck was operated like RAD's STARRs down in Arizona. Of course both companies are now owned by Waste Connections. Hope you enjoy!

Awesome video man! These trucks are very fun to watch, I always love watching some Heil STARRs. The roar on the trucks was music to my ears, and the lid flipping was the icing on the cake. Not to mention, these trucks look nice in the red scheme. Glad you was able to get some footage of these trucks. Keep up the great work!

Rogue River's older operations have always been a favorite of mine. Being from Oregon, STARRs are not only one of the coolest side loaders that used to roam the state, but special to me as well. Not too often I'd seen a Volvo cab paired up with one, southern OR certainly had some neat gems. Great work

@@Trashman242 Pete labries, newer 320 starrs unless WC got rid of those, they have/had a bunch of scorpions too

@@Trashman242 They bought a handful of Scorpions but have now move to buying Labrie for everything under Pete's for ASL and a mix of Pete and Mack for Front Load

Probably the best sounding STARR unit I've heard! Do they have any newer units still around?

from what I can tell they use 320 CNG starrs today, I wouldn't be surprised if there are WXs of some vintage still running too

Awesome video bro this truck sounds great 👍and this truck is a beast. I like all of the lid flips that this driver did too. I like the second truck as well.
