net migration in the year to June 2023 was 672,000 - up significantly on pre-pandemic volumes but lower than the 745,000 who came in the year to December 2022.

@@aktarhussain4437 Two unrelated events. Brexit gave the government the power to control immigration and the government chose not to. Now we know that they are responsible in full and they cannot weasel out by blaming the EU.

@@Hereford1642 Why do you think we have a high net migration? The channel crossing only represents approx 2 or 3% .. What I’m saying is due to brexit you’ve replaced EU worker with non EU workers, it is the fact that it’s harder to get EU workers..
