Hi Joe, i have a match on Barston in 2 week(16th june) do you reckon the aggressive approach (big feeder party mix style bed on a seperate rod) would work this time of year? Thanks.

I use 10 mm boilies in the winter but they are splitting any tips 👍

hey rob what oz tip are you using for chucking the 45g feeder thanks paul

Does the bigger hook than the boilie also work against a hard pellet
@MatchFishingFilms6 жыл бұрын
Shabba Ranks it's better with a wafter hook bait as the neutral buoyancy of the wafter negates the weight of the big hook

Just wondering when this was filmed? I had a match start of November which fished with a hybrid feeder and came third but couldn't help thinking a bed of Feed via a big feeder would have really emptied it, I just wasn't sure because it's right on the cusp of winter. Also - what strength carp rod, braid and shockleader do you use for the initial feed?
@matchfishingmagazine6 жыл бұрын
This was filmed in october. The attacking approach may be a bit bold now the frosts have come but will definitely work next year. I use a 3lb fox warrior carp rod, 0.10mm braid and 15lb shock leader for the big rod.

matchfishingmagazine thanks Joe. The venue I fished was very deep and it was before the frosts. I was thinking maybe 3-4 cage feeders with more groundbait than particles just to give them something to aim for because they were definitely still feeding. The same match will be held next year so I guess I just need to test it in the weeks before.
