If you press and hold the settings button for a few seconds on the Sergent panel it goes into set up pages. On the 3rd page it gives you battery type... Change this to Lithium. Also if you have the PX300 charger which is standard on new Swifts, that will charge Lithium fine. Not sure what Solar charge controller you have, but Google should let you know & there may be dip switches to set to Lithium charging.... Good luck from a fellow Salop customer.

Hello you won't regret lithium. We have 270 amps of lithium, 700watts of solar. A 1600 watt inverter charger and a b to b charger, we fulltime use all our 240 sockets, we fulltime and use the van as a house .

I think the is a farm shop down the road we used to get some cheeses and a meal

Great battery get yourself a victron solar controller with bluetooth so you can change the setting to lithuim. Ours always charges just off solar alone Happy Holidays Both see you soon

Great update and nice install.Hadn't come across that brand of battery in my research but if they are serious about getting traction in the UK market, I think they need to increase the length of their warranty to match the best of their competitors (7 years plus) as they are a big investment."If you don't use it, its a waste of money" Classic 😅

Excellent vlog, Lynn, I think you should buy one of those cooker gadgets and do an in depth review on it, find out from that review you don't like it and I will buy it off you for £200, happy people happy.

With the Victorn charger. To help cool the unit relies on convector air flow plus a small fan inside. . If you can put it vertical it will help cool the unit. If possible run a spir from a 240v socket to the charger and plug in. You must also turn off the old charger unit wjhen you are using the victorn charger. Two charger supplied from will cause issues with the Lithium Battery management system . There should be a button up by the Sargent unit

Great see you upgrade to the lithium, sure they got plenty of sales from your install Rob. Only thing is I can see you swapping the bus in next 12 month's based on all the warranty work you've had done, so can you extend the warranty for a couple of year's based on the repeat faults that keep arising??? Also at £850 I woukd keep the OE Battery on trickle charge and swap back if you do decide to change, save buying again down the line 😢 Hope to bump into you at some point have a large VAT together 😂 Sam & Jean - Staffs

Just watched your volg @ summer's wood Rob & Lynn on tour ! Bloody beautiful 😊 & its funny you have changed your battery over Rob because after mine failed the MOT on my scooter they were 2x 75kwhatt gel @ a cost of 620 pounds now i have gone to the 2x whatt 50amp lithuim standard batteries & the cost was 375pounds bloody big difference in price but i carnt do 34miles just 20miles on a full charge but thats much better & they dont tend to loose there power when the scooter isnt being used because of the weather as Lynn says hunny your right its weather for ducks only & the bad new is we have heavy rain until the 3rd week in August then we are set for a heatwave sorry hunny 😢 loved watching my favourite couple on KZfaq ! Dont forget to find me a power bank for my new batteries now Rob as i need it charged up every week so i can get up to my doctors surgery & the town & chemist etc so will need it for the fall/ autumn 🍂 or it will be cold in the house charging the scooter up with my window open in my living room i will need mittens on lol 😆 plus they have said we are in for a very cold 🥶 winter like 1963 god help us all ! How is the Lithium going? We've been looking into upgrading to Lithium as we only have a small 72AH Lead Acid with a Sargent Unit (FC176). We've been told we need a B2B for it - But it's so complicated! We do also have a 175W Solar panel with a 75/15 Victron MPPT, would it work ok with that do you think?? Thanks!!

So I could be wrong but be carful with the sergeant unit as possibly a chance of it over heating. I took mine to Eco tree and they plumbed the whole system in. Sadly I will need to get Lithium in my new panel van that I pick up tomorrow.

Rob, Don't you need to charge that Lithium at a higher voltage rate than that of led acid? from the solar panel, 240v and Van Alternator? Otherwise it will only charge to approx 80% Does the battery also have a BMS and temp regular do you know? Cheers Mick

Hi guys can I ask a silly question please?… when you stop for any time (lay-by etc) do you put the gas on for your fridge? That couple has far too much money, who spends best part of £1600 on a blender, also the VW camper is full of electronics that will fail at some point. I prefer your and Lyn's set up much easier and more roomy too. Them VW vans are ok if you're both under 10 stone but the price of them is as much as your motor home and I don't get that. Nice set up but not for the over 50s.
