My bottles directions does not say to put it in a bucket of water - it says to pour straight in around the sides of the pool

This stuff definitely worked for my pool. I used about 2xs as much then the recommended ounces. It took about 3 days for my pool to be completely clear. Thank you!

If the pool is adequately chlorinated but still cloudy, the culprit is usually a calciferous residue which is a byproduct of calcium hypochlorite. So if you shock the pool and the residual chlorine was already high or adequate, the pool will just get more cloudy. The solution then calls for the application of Hydrochloric (Muriatic) Acid. The acid will stabilize the PH and neutralize that extra "chalky residue" that causes the cloudiness in your pool water. Before you add the acid, be sure to "back-wash" if it's a sand filter or remove and wash the filter if it's a cartridge filter.

The key here is your pumps ability to filter the chemicals through 8 hours is a general guideline but for this to be affective a flocculent need be filtered through the water at least five to eight times so if you have a 2000 gph filter with a 4k gallon pool it would need to run for 10 to 16 hours , also the reverse to the flocculent is that if you don't put the proper amount in the water or put too much in the water it could also lead to clouding of the water so it could have a reverse affect.

Yeah 8 hours is way too short, I continued to get the clarifier byproduct in my filter even 2 days later as it got clearer. I also stirred up the pool a few times a day to prevent the byproduct from settling at the bottom and not getting picked up. Some cloudiness is also the byproduct floating on the surface and obscuring light - I ran skimmer and underwater inlet in rotation during the 2 days

Make sure to clean your filters before applying SB. Run the pool over night. Guarantee to be clear.

I think it depends why your water is cloudy. Calcium for example - it won’t help much.

I know this is an old vid, but I’ve used a similar product before with amazing results. I had a green pool l, then shocked it. Had all this dead algae floating around. Hence the cloudiness. Next I got all my chemical levels in order. Obviously, the pool is still cloudy at this point. The pump doesn’t run overnight, so the following morning when everything was settled on the bottom I proceeded to vacuum. Then I added the flocculant (water clarifier) and ran the water pump for 24 hour continuously. This is pertinent because all of your water literally has to be filtered for it to be able to remove all the algae skeletons. 8 hours on the pump isn’t gonna cut it. After the pump has run it’s 24 hour cycle, turn it off for 8-10 hours, then proceed to vacuum again all the particles on the bottom. Do this procedure until the water is pure again! I used a similar product and achieve incredible results. I’ve never see pool water look so good! Just sharing my experience with taking care of my own pool. It takes time to figure it out, but once you do, it becomes less of a pain in owing a pool lol

flocculant and the water clarifier he used are not the same thing. Floc will bind with the dead algae and make globs that will sink to the bottom of the pool. The only way to remove these floc globs is to vacuum. Water clarifier (the stuff used in this video) similarly binds to dead algae but forms a less dense glob that allows the glob to float in the water and pass through the filter. He needs to repeat the process several times and make sure his water filter system is cleaned very often during the process (every hour!). That pool water does not require more chlorine shock (hypochlorite) as this only kills algae, which he did already. He needs to reapply the water clarifier and clean his filter. It takes time!

I feel like it worked good. You went from not being able to see the bottom at all....to being able to. Maybe it's the filter?

Btw I'm a professional pool guy, just clean the filter. Take it apart, spray the inside cartridge off with the hose. Put it back together and you will be solid after running it for 24.
