(*) Rob called Marcus "miss", to stress he knew he was gay before Marcus came out (better, was outed by the press). This would have been highly offensive, coming from a straight person, while it's accepted if it comes from "one of us".

Now I love 8 letters and I am very proud of how Robbie handled the situation when Jason voiced his concerns about the second verse lyrics and even prouder of how Gary backed him up. I especially love the way Rob explained it. I'm thinking that 8 letters three words one meaning is I love you or I am sorry which one is it?

My god... I can watch a lot of Barlliam videos and always get a warm feeling and I get all giggly and stuff.. but when I see yours, things get to another level... your videos, no matter if it's just a summary, are always so clear and full of real FACTs, that never fails at bringing butterflies to my stomach in a very literal way.

I love the NIGEL quote. If he had a big story no amount of honour would have kept that inside. He would sell his mum if it got him money but I like that he wants to seem like he is holding something back!!

Personally I disagree..I have a low opinion of Nigel to be honest and I agree he would sell his mother if it helped him reach his goals but he is a gay man, so speaking theorically, if there's one thing in the world he wouldn't sell is the knowledge of someone else being gay or bisexual. You just don't out people, you don't...it's something highly disrespective when it comes from straight people, it's unthinkable when it comes from a gay person; it's a not written rule, he would have become an outcast in the gay community had he done something like that. That words Mark said when he is asked about Shames vid, he is like speaking for me.. there is no way of describing how i feel i see them together each time.. A huge warm feeling, starting from my stomach, spreading to my fingertips.. And this one made me laugh so much, i wouldnt be in boys shoes really.. probably couldnt keep my big mouth shut! Truely loved the vid, great work ♥♥ p.s. cant wait for different as well.. i think i got literally obsessed with that one !

Yeah, they always reacted weird when asked about each other. At times their words & body language were contraddictory, even. Thanks a lot 4 watching my vids & 4 taking the time to write your comment. Yes, Rob wanted that song, but Gary thought it was better not (guess the wanted the most famous ones to be on tour, because the audience can esaily related to them). That's in fact the reason why Rob pretended 2 sing that song during Progress Tour instead of Everything Changes, as you pointed out

It's "I love you". The original verse said "what I forgot to say was I love you" (see here at 1.47) than they changed the verse for metrical reasons and it became "what I forgot to say was all I had to say, eight letters, three words, one meaning". Thanks for watching.

WOW, another fantastic vid, you must have done lots of research! I really enjoy it, especially last part about 'Different', cos Gaz talked about this song as well, he said 'Different' is the first song they wrote after finishing the Progress album and it's one of his fave songs of the last few years. I guess Gaz must have same feeling as robbies'

it's an interview Gary gave back in 2010 (or 2011? can't remember now) in Sweden. It's not on YT anymore, as far as I know at least.

Hi, thanks a lot for watching. First, I need to clarify my channel is a gay friendly channel so in case you don't feel comfortable with these matters it's not the right place for you; about the vid.. Gas is Gary (Gaz), I call him Gas as a pet name, just a silly thing. The title is "when friends are not that good at keeping secrets", so the vid shows all the other memebes of the band speaking about Rob and Gary's relationship in a way that, in my opinion, is quite meaningful, if you pay attention

I understand Jay's point of view with "I thought I'd go before you leave me" - but what he's asking for is a bit unrealistic. If you're going to write a song about the Take That story, you HAVE to acknowledge Robbie feeling bullied into leaving. If it hadn't been such a high-intensity split, the Progress reunion wouldn't have been worth writing a song about. Glad they kept the line; one of best songs about true friendship there is.

I do apologize then, when you said you didn't get what the video was about I got confused myself, you know..I thought maybe you didn't get what the key point was...and I don't want to upset anybody of course, that's why I felt like pointing out I run a gay friendly channel. Thanks a lot for taking the time to watch my videos, I really appreciate it. Of course I'm a big Rob and Gas fan andI just wish them to be happy whatever they choose in their lives and with their solo careers and TT stuff.

it's the Progress song 'Eight Letters'@BeccaF. They were discussing the first version of the lyrics. The final one is different (the line 'what I think is what I forgot to say was I love you' became 'what i forgot to say was all I had to say, eight letters, three words, one meaning'). The line 'I thought I'd go before you leave me' stayed the same, tho. If you want to see Robbie and Gary singing it live while tearing up, you have to look for their O2 arena live performance.
