Mistake about 9:00 or so... Rob isn't changing the pip value to reflect the number of lots 1 micro lot (.01) = .10 per pip 5 micro lots (.05) = .50 per pip x 10 pips = $5 1 mini lot (.1) = $1 per pip 7 mini lots (.7) = $7 per pip x 10 pips = $70 1 standard lot (1) = $10 per pip 20 standard lots (20) = $200 per pip x 10 pips = $2000

Truly appreciate how detailed this video is. Most traders are searching for that elusive method where they never lose or can win eight or nine trades out of 10, amassing huge profits in a short amount of time with no risk, which I'd say is ill advised

@@rolandyizel It's best to experiment with what works for you, understand it, and stick to it. Trading is mentally taxing. Not everyone is built for the ups and downs as they come; you're probably better off hiring an expert advisor to trade for you. It's a safer way to reduce risk and earn while taking your time to learn the ropes.

Rob, thanks for all the info. I am having a problem w/ the math. Your examples are: 10 pips w/ 7 mini lots and your answer was $7. Isn't Nate actually correct w/ $70? Mini lot pip value = $1, # of pips 10, # of lots 7. 10 pips w/ 5 micro lots. Micro lot pip value = $0.10, # of pips = 10, # of lots = 5 for $5. 10 pips w/ 20 standard lots. Standard lot pip value = $10, # of pips = 10, # of lots = 20 for $2000. Please point out the mistake I am making.

Good lesson, though an error in calculation occurred towards the end of the class... I got confused with the pip calculation exercise, It was terrible to me... And at first your student got the first answer of $70 but Rob said $7 so the poor student have no choice than to agree with his masters answer.

Regarding the quiz at the end of the video, the answers are incorrect. You should correct them so newbies don't get confused. The answers would be correct for 1 pip but not for 10 pips. You were probably thinking 1 pip but saying 10 pips. Good luck and keep them coming.

You’re wrong the standard lot at the end you’d make 2000$ if you made 10 pips from 20 different standard lots. 10x10pips is 100x20 lots is 2000$

Not only that one is wrong. In the end all of them are wrong. In the case of those 7 mini lots it's 70 dollars (because: 10x1pip is 10x7 lots is 70 dollars) and in the case of those 5 micro lots it's 5 dollars (because: 10x0.1pip is 1x5 lots is 5 dollars).

The question is how would leverage effect all this if 10 pips with 1 std lot make you 100 dollar what would be tge leverage?

In Forex, for every 75 pips profit, what should my stop loss be?

I use stops (locks) not more than 15-20 pips. If market have big volatility, then stop-loss can be 25-30 pips. It happens quite rare. If your strategy can bring you 75 pips profit from 1 order, then try to enter the market on the point where you can put stop-loss not more than 15-20 pips.

It depends on target, usually If I advise 75 pips target to my clients then stoploss would be 60pips

Here is an advice for every upcoming trader, first make sure you research for a strategy, secondly if you decide to get a mentor make sure he is a registered investment adviser/broker,these days you have to be careful a good way to start your career is researching *Nicholas Alexander Kelly Method* the strategy is currently working and the creator is registered as well.

I still can't understand. So if i had on my account 1500 $ and would like to buy 0,01 lot of EUR/USD, which value is e.g. 1,1132, it would cost me 1132 $ right? Because micro lot is for 1000 units of the currency. Please help, completly lost.

I doubt anyone will answer. Anyway. I have been trading 3 years on a demo account, and I have never touched the lot size. I just started trading with real money. With my enormous account of 111 $. I still don't touch the lot size. It says 0.01. That can't be right? Because in order to use 0.01 lots your account size must be 1000 $ minimum. Or am I wrong?

If 1 standar Pip its equal to $10 then 20 standar lot size should be $200 so if 20 standar lot size raise 10 pip should be $2,000 correct?

correct me if I’m wrong so let’s say I put a forex trade on for $1000 and the eur/usd was at 1.18000 an it moved up to 1.18010 that would equal $10 is that correct??? Please please reply thanks

So I made 2,222 pips on XAUUSD trade with a 0.10 trade size on a USD Forex account and made $222.20 USD which would make it $0.10c per pip for my account. Is that because of my broker? Because it doesn't match Rob's figures...

but i been trading for years and .01 lot sizes always nets 1 penny per pip, i understand this guys trying to be professional but i know im not missing something.. am i? is he counting the pip as the 4th or the 5th decimal place?

I have a really good day job yes? but I needed an alternative source of income so I looked into trading Forex, And today I make thousands of dollars while I sleep thanks to *Dmitry Vladislav* 's account management program, he also has a strategy called the *Blended Model Strategy* that my colleague has been using to trade on her own and she makes thousands of dollars daily. you guys can search the strategy on google for more information.

Yes I did try Mike. unfortunately I was unable to retrieved my capital and profit. I was asked to paid commission upfront in order to get my profit. I was advised by my legal team not to pay anyone comission upront to get money, they have my investment, so they should collect commission and make profit available for withdrawal.

8:15 You have made 10 pips on 5 micro lots. How much have made? One micro lot is worth 10 cents per pip movement. Five micro lots is 5 times 10 cents is 50 cents per pip. Ten pips is 10 times 50 cents = 5 usd. Am i right or wrong because my head is hurting from all the calculations. You said the answer is 50 cents. 🧑‍🎓🤷‍♂️

For the sake of consistency and keeping things from getting confusing I would avoid saying "0.10 cents" to represent 10 cents. 10 cents is $0.10 not 0.10 cents.
