I couldn't stand him in 3rd and 4th season when he was on the dark side. It seemed he would follow everyone who would tell him he didn't do anything wrong would approve his actions. But in the end of 4th season it became pretty clear that he tried not to think what he did to Miguel. He tried to push all remorse and regrets away.

Same. Some people say that they started to like him Season 4 onward, but he was always my favorite, ever since season 1.

Robby and Daniel's actually was a student mentor relationship because it had its ups and downs and that made it felt real. Johnny and Miguel's relationship is good but it's nowhere near Robby and Daniel's.

And after watching these scenes again, something comes to my mind: Robby was not just the guy who brought Daniel back as Karate instructor, he was to this day (Season 4) Daniels only one-on-one student. Maybe he showed him things we (the audience) havent seen. And if so i could imagine it will turn out later and playing an important part. So or so after watching Highlights from Season 3 with Daniels daughter Samantha again, its obvious she doesnt know all things about Miyagi Do. She doesnt know what the Kanjis on the big rock in Daniels garden mean, etc.. Only a thought...but maybe it will play a role later that Robby was Daniels only 1-1 student. Many people think Robby will maybe win this Sekai Taikai tournament. Yes, thats very possible! He was always the runner up, second to Migiuel and Hawk in the All Valley, but you know what is missing in Cobra Kai series to this day? A life and death fight between the teenys, something like Daniel vs Chozen back in the day. And remember in a deleted scene with Kreese Robby told Kreese he dont care about trophys, maybe a foreshadowing he will never win one. But if one of the teenys should get involved into a life and death fight, i think it will be Robby, and his opponent will be an evil teeny that we havent seen yet, a guy who is really evil and even a stronger street fighter then Robby and Miguel. And Robby will only survive it because of Daniel. Thats a scenario i would really like.

@Sebas Maldonado, thx :)! Of course its only a thought and maybe i am wrong. So or so i find it cool that you as someone from Ecuador likes Robby more then Miguel. I like both very much. And i had moments when i supported Miguel. When they fought on the balcony in S5 i thought Miguel was the right winner, he simply had this unfinished business with Robby and he got his win against him. But he acted like a true warrior and stopped in the right moment. Miguel is balanced, he can control his anger much better then Robby can. And i am so happy Robby and Miguel are like brothers now. Many fans wanted these RobbyMiguel and SamTory rivalrys to go on forever, but i like they were able to make peace. And as a huge fan of RobbyTory i say thank you so much to MiguelSam since they both saved then. Robby was beaten down by Kenny and his thugs, he was almost out but Miguel saved him. And Tory was also almost out when Daeun stood on her hurt hand, and Sam came to save her. Of course only the writers know what will happen, but maybe Miguel or Hawk will win the Sekai Taikai boys division, and either Sam or Tory the girls devision (if they have one), and Robby will get involved into a life and death encounter, a fight which will be much more bloody as anything we saw yet among the teenys, brutal, violent, no rules, much blood, drama, and the guy Robby will fight is a total cold blooded guy with no remorse, i mean someone who would be happy if he had kicked Miguel down the stairs and paralized him. And he wants to kill Robby for some reason. Of course it wont be exactly the same, but maybe a bit similar.

Robby pick the right Sensei to learn karate Self defense and it’s a purpose to use of physical force to protect oneself from the attacker. It is very important as it allows you to protect yourself, build confidence, awareness and take appropriate actions in a dangerous situation.

I respect all views and opinions, and if it happens i am happy for Robby, but here is my dream scenario for later: Robby will end like Daniel 1985 in Okinawa against Chozen, in a life and death fight. And when he is almost death, like Sato, Yuki and Miyagi stood there back in the day, this time Chozen, Kumiko and Daniel would stand there, Daniel and Chozen with the drum in their hands, giving Robby his final instruction how to survive. This would be the ultimate redemption for Chozen, and it would be simply such a fantastic thing if a technique from Miyagi-Do Karate saves the life of Johnny Lawrence s son years later. The reason why i dont want him to win a tournament is because Kreese and Silver stand for tournaments. They like glory, titles and trophys, while Miyagi himself never liked tournaments, he said Karate is to defend your life, not trophies or points in a tournament. Since Robby is in Miyagi s direct lineage, the best thing for him would be to do what Miyagi wanted, using Karate for defending your life or the life of a beloved one. Nothing would close the circle better. A Miyagi-Do technique saves the life of Johnnys son, and Robby makes Miyagi proud in refusing to enter the Sekai Taikai, letting Hawk and MIguel fightingi there, and he himself will find himself later against an evil killer teeny, a guy who is even stronger as himself, MIguel and Hawk, and he can only defeat him with a Miyagi-Do technique, while his Sensei Daniel and Chozen giving him the final instruction. Miyagi stated about the drum "the secret of Miyagi Family Karate", and "My father said using drum technique only as last resort". Last Resort means its still the most devastating technique M-D has to offer, palm strikes that can break the bones in your face, what Daniel did with Chozen back in the day. And remember Season 2 Episode 1: Robby finds the drum and plays with it. Daniel "Carefull, that drum saved my life". Maybe it was a foreshadowing the drum will save Robbys life later too. Carmens mom to Johnny: "Dont make her pregant", now she is pregnant, that was a foreshadowing too.

From a logical standpoint you are right, but woudnt bet on it. Sure many fans want to see it, my too honestly, i mean Tory finally learning new things from Daniel, Johnny and Chozen, but i dont know how it will be. When you see how things went down with Kreese, there are two things to remember, or better said three: 1) Kreese told Johnny: "You really want to destory Cobra Kai? CK isnt the problem, Silver is." 2) Tory to the CK students before the final brawl: "I am not a traitor (to CK), i only dont buy what Silver is selling." 3) Kreese to Tory: "Do what is best for you" Especially 1 and 2 show Tory and Kreese blame all negative things to Silver, not to Cobra Kai. Sure the CK was destory in the end with Silver s arrest, and all his students saw what a liar he is, but neither did Kreese hurt Tory as you see in point 3, he told her she should do what is best for her, nor did Tory really say she wants to leave or be a traitor to CK, only that she is against Silver. You know after Season 4 over 90% fans of the show believed Tory would leave CK and joining Miyagi-Do or Eagle Fang, i mean because Silver payed off the referee and she saw it. But we all saw it wanst that easy. I personally was a little stunned she stayed there, until i saw Kreese wanted her to stay. Never forget: Kreese helped Tory so much in S3 with the landlord, and he also told her to fight like she want in S4 and disobey Silver s order to fight dirty, and in S5 he told her in the end to do what s best for her. So i have my doubts this will be all forgotten now and the two will never have any contact. Can i be honest? I didnt share it here on this clip but on other places: My personal thought since S4 is that maybe (not certainly, only maybe) Tory Nichols is indeed the biological granddaughter of John Kreese and his late girlfriend Betsy, but both Tory nor Kreese dont know it yet. And if this should be the case, then you can be sure the writers wont just let them go seperate parts and never have any close contact to each other. I would love to see her training with Chozen! They already did it a bit.

you could argue: The true and only sensei for Kenny is Silver. since they both have a lot in common: being seen as weak for the longest time due to their size. that and they have both been a follower for the longest time, which holds them back from their potential.

Well said ! 🤝🏻 Robby is a mix between Johnny and Daniel if they are fused as a whole other character. Robby and Daniel's relationship are far better than Robby and Johnny's. He is also the most athletic fighter in the series. Robby definitely had a very rough journey to overcome and he did! Which is why he is the most well-written teen character in the show! Hopefully he should win the biggest Karate tournament in the world. The Sekai Taikai.

Well said both of you! Of course many younger viewers saw CK first and watched the KK movies later. And maybe if you are 13, 17 or even 22 you are still green and dont have "senses" for certain things. Example: Many younger guys are so obsessed now that Robby must win this Sekai Taikai tournamnet, since he was now twice the runner up in the All Valley tournament. Honestly: Must he win this ST tournament? I say no! I have a gut feeling either Hawk or Miguel will win it, maybe Robby wont even compete in it. I see him letting Hawk and Sam for Miyagi-Do and Miguel and maybe Tory (should he joined them) for Eagle Fang, or Devon for Eagle Fang if she rejoins Johnny. Never forget: Robby is now in the direct lineage of Mr. Miyagi. He was to this day Daniel s only one-on-one student. Sure Sam was it too, but Daniel never teached Sam in dept like he trained Robby. And what did Mr. Miyagi said about tournamnets and trophys? He dislked them. He said Karate is to defend your life, not to defend a trophy or winning points in a tournament. I think Miguel and Tory will win the Sakai Taikai. Miguel because he didnt win the All Valley in S1 fair, he fought unfair against Robby, so he can have a fair win too, and Tory because she wants to win a trophy so much. And the Officials from the All Valley will gift the All Valley trophy to Sam since she was the real winner, they gonna rewatch the final and the score is 3-2 Sam, so Sam will be crowned as All Valley Champion 2019 girls division. My thoughts (not theories, only thoughts): Miguel will be All Valley Champ 18 and Sekai Taikai Champ 19, Hawk and Sam will be the All Valley Champs 19, Tory will be the Sekai Taikai Champ 19. Robby wont win a trophy. But he will get involved into a life and death encounter, and using Karate like Mr Miyagi wanted it, to defend your own life.

He was in a way. Daniel gave Robby a home, unconditional love (despite losing his temper all the time with him), and life lessons essential for Robby to reach maturity as a successful and well rounded person. Daniel was every bit the father to Robby that Mr. Miyagi was to Daniel. That’s the beauty of the show - how it rhymes in so many ways with the original.

@Al Merry, i just saw in your channel you are a huge Robby fan. Remember in S2 when Sam accused Tory of stealing her mom Amandas wallet? Many people forgot the real perpertrators were Robbies "friends". Robby then walks to the beach and he finds Amandas wallet and confronts his two old friends. Then he gets knocked out cold very brutally from behind with a paddle. Daniel saves him. It was the first time in the Cobra Kai show that Daniel actually fought. This was the only reason, it had nothing to do with Sam and Tory, the wallet thing was just the reason why Robby went to the beach.
