Everything is removable with the right tools and enough dedication.

Shawn was a piece this shop needed that becomes more visible as he gets more comfortable. He's like an instruction manual, you may not always use it, but it's a real good thing they're there to show you the way.

Colton is a great addition to the team, he learns quickly with Sean's guidance, Robby and hillbilly are good teachers also,I've learned a lot too.thank you guys and gals for a great show.god bless us all,.

I'd say that's a perfect merch truck. After the challenge, just imagine. You pull up to any event with all your cool rides 😎 and there's no need to set up a tent unload boxes set up displays. What if it had air ride 🤔 aired down tucking 40s would be a really good look IMO

The best way’s to get cheap camper/RV parts is to buy a wrecked and damaged campers from somewhere like Copart. They sell super cheap at the salvage auction. It’s the perfect way to get appliances, upholstery (dinettes, sofa beds, bunk setups), roof ac’s, rv sized sinks and bathroom room stuff)

Just noticed, you already have an advantage in building this, you have a whole crew, right there all in one place, while the others are separated in some situations, in different states! This thing is gonna be BA!

I overland in a 2wd van … I do it all with a cooler a gas stove a 5gln bucket 😉. And some extra water. It’s all removable, replaceable and easy to deal with on the trail .

Love watching you guys. You all work so hard. I don't know how your brains keep going working so many hours. I appreciate you showing the mistakes, how you fix them, imperfect commentary, and your great network of friends. It's great to see real people doing real things and that people are not perfect all the time but are still amazing to watch and listen to. Love all the shop work and trail rescues. Hey Robby, this is Pacer related, if you haven't already seen it, in Vice Grip Garage on the 35 ford pickup when he is getting it there is a nice looking pacer in the same location. Just started this video and so looking forward to this project.

When Robby hired Shawn, I had a feeling that Shawn wanted no part in the antics, he just wanted to fabricate stuff, by himself, unbothered by everyone else. Shawn has slowly become one of the group, he doesn't seem so camera shy, and he really is a major asset to the crew. While Demri and Shawn are the adults in the shop, Shawn seems to still have that inner child who still wants to play with cars. Whatever Robby pays Shawn, it is not enough!

I pulled the slant 6 out of my grandmother’s car with 85,000 miles on it, put it in another car, and it was still running great when I sold that car with 235,000 on the slant 6. Great engine!

Check your math, Robbie. You're going to have 116 inch wheelbase! 105.5 + 10.5 = 116

I about cried as you pulled that slant six out and tossed it away. I could use that engine for my 65 Dart. Wish I was closer to you so I could come and rescue it out of your scrap bin.

As an idea to to more for your build, find a truck driver that has a studio sleeper on their truck. Those big studio sleepers have a kitchen, beds and a bathroom. It's like a little apartment!! You will get some good ideas from that!!!

*****You need to Paint Paul, from Fab Rat's, 55 chevy for him. ******* He may have mentioned that on his channel! My son and his friend made us, what they called it a "bumper dumper". They made a bracket that went into the hitch receiver then it came up and has a toilet seat attached to that. a 5 gal bucket slide into the bracket, which was removable. They even had a section that went up to a ring on the top that held a shower curtain so you could pull it around for privacy, sort of.

Recommend some big boat sides on this. Get rid of all that low hanging sheet metal on the sides. This thing is kinda broad, so I think it will help a lot on the trail

It would be nice if you can do a interview with Shane. Some background, and what he thinks of the new job, and the oddities of wish he’s working on.

The slant 6 that was in it, those things are bullett proof. I worked for a Chrysler Plymouth dealership that ran a fleet taxies with slant 6s running on propane. Ran forever.

@RobbyLayton SUGGESTION! Guys find on Market place a Motorhome like a Econoline or something with the proper dimensions of the box truck and has close to what you need inside it then mod the stuff to make it removeable and install it in the box truck.... I mean why not. Oh and add solar panels to that machine as well and backup batteries to power stuff at night so you guys can do night clawing on that thing and stop and camp... I mean that would be EPIC... lol Ok well you got this guys!!!

I wish you weren't 2k miles away. I would definitely love to put the slant 6 in my truck and see how long it would live. The old delivery van is in incredible shape and should be awesome on the next challenge.

This is a what if! What if you were to discover a Dodge Crew cab frame. Between the 2 frames you could make 1 and be closer to your destination. It could even be a wrecked frame but you have a frame machine. I could see some of the top missing and stretching the backend out to balance your wheelbase. Don’t lengthen it too much because you need to reduce the overhang. I like your project. The top could come down and still leave your family headroom. Your family isn’t 6’ giants so you could build it to scale to your family.

You should do hammocks in the overlander. It will save on space and are way more comfortable.

If you truly read all your comments, I really recommend using a diesel heater. They’re affordable and real easy to set up and it will keep it more than warm enough inside of there are use one in a 40 foot motorhome that I live full-time in and it keeps up plenty warm in here
