Regarding all the really expensive pedals Rob & I could have picked... we agreed before we shot the video that we'd try & keep the pedal boards reasonably affordable. I say reasonably, as I know we didn't use the cheapest pedals, but we didn't pick the dearest either!

I can't say how much I envy all the right-handed guitar players. You simply go to a guitar store and play whatever guitar You want. The first thing a lefty do after coming in to a music store, is asking staff if there are ANY left handed guitars. In my country it's usually one or two cheap squiers/epiphones per store. Damn.

Not so easy, mate ;) By the way, it's so funny, when right-handed guitarists give advice to south-paws which they would never apply themselves ;) It's not bad to be a south-paw. I just wish guitar stores stop ignoring left handed guitars. Andretons is a massive winner in that extend

I'm a left-handed fingerstyle player (mostly acoustic), but luckily my dad advised me to play regular. It's not really a big difference, just trickier the first few months. after that it gets natural. Now i always play right handed and it's way easier to just pick up a guitar at a friends house or a gig. And the selection of guitars is WAY better.

Rob Chapman Please review it! I love Brendan Small and his work but have yet find one of these in the wild to demo, and would love to hear what that thing can do. He and Gibson did a great job on the Thunderhorse, did greatness come twice?

I agree - its something I hate most about music stores in general - all the staff telling kids not to touch anything. How are kids supposed to get inspired to play if everyone in the store is horrible to them?

Loved these 2 videos and I am jealous of the Captain. Not only does he seem to have a lot of fun, but he is doing perfect marketing. You would never have thought that marketing could be so much fun and so effective. He must be raking it in and having a ball while doing so. Respect!

The way you treated the kid was very admirable. Many guitar player type's are sort of full of themselves and put down young, inexperienced players. It's really great to see you encouraging the future leaders of the industry.

I agree it sounds shite, but music shops that try and make potential customers stop what they're playing, or feel awkward about it, are cuntholes. And Andertons doesn't seem to be a cunthole.

DaveDexterMusic If that ever happens ask them if they think that in this day and age their business can afford to let you walk out of their shop and spend your money elsewhere. But as a rule I don't think it's like that anymore, twenty years ago, yeah, but not now.

I know how you feel and I've been there but it's their problem, not yours, if you walk out and spend your money elsewhere. Maybe it's because I'm older, have a responsible job and funds to make a purchase or two that I think this way, despite my very modest musical abilities.

I went to the shop yesterday (I live in Edinburgh) as I am staying I wimbledon just now, I left my wife and son at the hotel to drive down to the shop... I had to go and see it as I have ben watching these videos for ages. Great shop Cap! (I had the Star Wars #1 fan t-shirt on)

Man MXR Pedals are fucking amazing, i have an MXR Distortion+ and it goes from a light overdrive to a full on metal distortion. Love that thing. and i also have a Dunlop Cry Baby 535Q and oh man it is fucking amazing.

For a REALLY versatile board I'd pick, 1. Polytune Mini 2. TC Electronic Spark (for clean boost as well as the TS-type mid-hump thing) 3. Fulltone Catalyst (OD as well as fuzz-ish) 4. TC Electronic Nova Modulator (has vibe, phaser, chorus, flanger & tremolo) 5. BOSS DD-7 A wah would not fit on a PT Mini so I might just keep one off the board.

Francisco Valadez Haven't played the Mini Crybaby so I can't really compare but if you can, give a Wilson wah a try once. I've had a standard Crybaby, a BBE wah and a Fulltone Clyde and now have a Wilson Ten Spot and it beats all of them hands down.

Francisco Valadez You're welcome! Wilson's Signature wah is a clone of the old Clyde's. Even Fulltone has a very good Clyde. RMC has a Teese wah which I haven't played but have heard very good things about. Wah is a very personal thing so it's hard to recommend. One of the reasons I favor Wilson though is because you get to talk to him directly and he's a wonderful guy.

I visited the Andertons store yesterday and I have to say, it's one of the best music stores I've ever been to (much better than the stores at Denmark Street, London) The shop all around is wonderful! I went in to try some PRS USA customs and Tom at the shop really helped me out with everything. Funnily, when I was trying the Custom 22 at the small personal rooms, I saw Captain Lee. I wanted to say hi but I guess he had to go somewhere and I missed him. :( Maybe next time. Hehe. But again, great store! You guys are absolutely phenomenal at everything you do - The reviews and everything. It has really helped me a lot in choosing the gear I want. Happy 50th anniversary Andertons! Cheers! :D

That's crazy you mention that, I just went to post the exact same question, I thought he was the owner, kr possibly the owner's son. I forget why I thought that,. I thought I heard him say one time "When I opened Anderton's," or something to that effect.

Adooms Guitars But does he actually own the company? He doesn't look old enough. Lee is in his 30s I'm guessing, normally a guy who owns a company will be in their late 40s at least.

Its was a family company, so i think it was passed down from his dad, but from what ive heard when he started he started at the bottom
