This is the Gavotte and doubles (variations) from the Suite in A from the Nouvelles Suites de Pièces de clavecin, ca.1728. casadesus is right at the top of Rameau interpretations on the modern piano. Thanks for posting this.

This music goes so much better on piano, especially in the hands of such a profoundly gifted artist, than on the harpsichord.

Esta obra es la responsable de que a los cinco años de edad me enamorara de Jean Philippe Rameau , el mejor Barroco francés , Bravo Casadesus , adoro tu arte !!

Very nice! I also like Keigo Mukawa playing this Gavotte and 6 Doubles during Queen Elizabeth Piano 2021. He’s my favorite pianist at the moment 🙂🎹

This is where I started appreciating the French baroque - when this recording first came out. What did Casadesus know at a visceral level, about how to play his native music?

The Theme should really be repeated one last time at the very end without repeats.

Под такое на вряд захочется танцевать. Тяжелый рок какой то.
