Rest in peace, Mr. Conrad. You will be greatly missed. You had an amazing career. So many roles, but probably best known as Pappy Boyington from “Black Sheep Squadron.” This video shows a few of the roles he is known for.

What a nice memoriam. Robert Conrad was among my favorite actors growing up in NE Philadelphia in the 1960s and 1970s. I watched The Wild, Wild West with my father, who was also a big fan. Baa, Baa, Black Sheep / Black Sheep Squadron was another favorite of mine. I wish there had been more than two seasons / 36 episodes. Thank you and RIP Mr. Conrad.

Born in 1935...gets his first starring role in a hit TV series in 1959....he was 24 years old! WOW, what a remarkable career. He was such a potent physical presence in WWWest. He was a TV only actor who had rare and enduring Steve McQueen type "cool". He was always the coolest guy on the screen. One of a kind.

I grew up with Robert Conrad during the wild wild West I was 9 to 13 years of age from 1965 to 1969. He was my television idol and I looked up to him and his character James T West. I remember there was a conflict between The Wild Wild West and The Man from Uncle; they overlapped each other; the last half of The Wild West and the first half of The Man from Uncle conflicted with each other..... well for me The Wild Wild West won out and I never really watched an episode of The Man from Uncle, but I watched every single episode of The Wild Wild West!!! Thank You Robert Conrad for making my childhood exciting. God Bless
