That I believe was John Favreau who was directing the movie Iron Man. Apparently he told the people who asked him to direct that he wanted Robert and no one else and even though Robert’s reputation was tarnished then he John insisted it had to be Robert, then he told Robert to not eff it up!

I love Robert Downey Jr. I watched him suffer from his addictions for so long. So young, so talented, so much to live for.He gave me so much hope that my son could make it too. Unfortunately, my son passed away from an overdose over Thanksgiving weekend at the age of forty after fighting for twenty years. I think the world of you and wish you much more success. You shine a light, you really do. Love you, live well.

@malumello17 : Unfortunately, Matthew didn't have a wife to help him recover, as Robert did. The successful rate for addicts is much better if there is strong support unit in place. Ozzie Osborne has said this about his wife, Sharon. The late Robin Williams praised his first wife, Marsha, for being there for him and Robert Downey Jr has repeatedly praised his wife..

Small grammatical correction and no offense intended, but "Oppenheimer with Nolan at helm" would be a better way to express that thought. "At the helm of Nolan" doesn't really make sense, due to the fact that Christopher Nolan is a human, not a ship, and therefore doesn't have a helm.

Throughout our lives we've watched both RDJ and Johnny Depp. My friend was smitten with Robert while I was lusting after Johnny. RDJ is an icon! He has to be one of the greatest actors ever to grace Hollywood. Started as a young child/teenage actor in the late ‘70’s and 80’s, had big success, then had his massive downfall with jail time, then cleaned himself up and rose again to greatness! He can portray just about any character he puts his heart into and he has and always will be one of my favourite actors ever! Not to mention that he is a phenomenal singer as well!

Beta blockers block adrenaline receptors. So, even though your body may be producing way too much adrenaline from anxiety, it can’t bind to the receptor cell, so you can’t feel the intense “rush” of adrenaline-induced anxiety. I take beta blockers to prevent migraines. I’m also a neuroscience professor.

I believe RDJ is a National Treasure. I’ve loved him since the 80s, a mere child in Back to School. He always stood out in whatever role he played. He was and is darling. I wanted him to win that Oscar for Chaplin. Like the Oscars for 87 movies, i couldn’t believe Michael Douglas won over John Malkovich when Malkovich was so much better than Michael playing Kirk. I’m so proud of him. I don’t know how to explain it. I have never met him I have been a big fan of him since 2008. Yes Iron man but ever since I saw him I watched all his movies from being young till this day. What even blew my mind how he turned his life around! I’m so proud of him and want him to be happy because he fell once and stood up again and here he is .. legend ♥️🥹✨

Man, what a crazy life this man has had. I’m just happy to see he’s living a better life after all his addiction problems. He’s a fantastic actor, and he was so easy to dislike in the movie, which is precisely what you want. My hairs on the back of my neck were standing up at the very end, with the conversation with the senate aide, leading into the last Oppenheimer scene. I literally didn’t even recognize it was him for the first few scenes he was in. He really took on the character and became Strauss. I’m probably gonna buy that cook book. I love finding better food options for my health, and I’m really happily surprised that he worked on such a thing ❤❤❤❤

@@hollyshinn1274 If someone is not into movies then it's not unthinkable that they don't know him. I also didn't really know much about him until I started to bing watch the MCU during the new year. I'm not into movies but I've seen a lot of clips from MCU movies and decided to bing them. I finished phase 3 last week and this was the best month of my life in terms of watching movies. Those movies had me glued to the TV which didn't happen for years before this.
