TRUE CRIME PLAYLIST: • True Crime Body Language
Robert Durst is an American real estate heir and suspected serial homicide, the son of New York City businessman Seymour Durst and the elder brother of Douglas Durst, head of the Durst Organization. He is suspected of having been involved in the demise of three people: Kathleen McCormack Durst, his first wife, who disappeared in New York in 1982; Susan Berman, his longtime friend; and his neighbor, Morris Black. Durst was the subject of a multi-state manhunt after Black's body parts were found floating in Galveston Bay. Although he admitted dismembering Black, he was acquitted of Black on the grounds of self-defense.
On March 14, 2015, Durst was arrested in New Orleans on a first-degree homicide warrant in relation to the Berman. In 2016 he was transferred to California, and in 2018 a judge ruled there was sufficient evidence for him to be tried. Durst's trial began March 2, 2020, but was postponed after six days due to the pandemic. After additional delays, the trial resumed on May 17, 2021.
Also on May 17, 2021, the Westchester County District Attorney said that the disappearance of Kathleen McCormack Durst had been reclassified as a homicide and would be reinvestigated.
What is the psychology of a psychopath and what is the body language of a psychopath. This episode may help you with how to spot a psychopath.
The Behavior Panel comprises the world's top body language and behavior experts: Scott Rouse, Mark Bowden, Chase Hughes, and Greg Hartley. They analyze behavior and body language in videos of public interest. This non-partisan group aims to educate and entertain, focusing on nonverbal communication, deception detection, behavioral analysis, statement analysis, interrogation, and resistance to interrogation. Through careful examination of gestures, expressions, linguistics, and cultural context, they reveal truths and deceptions. He didn't care about his wife or his great job at the base. Russell Williams best friend still can't believe it. It's scary because how well do we REALLY know anyone? For some silly reason I keep thinking these guys would be great on a camping trip. Greg could lead the hikes. Chase could teach about nature and stuff. Mark could tell spooky stores at campfire. Finally Scott could lead the camp songs. I don’t know why keep thinking this, but it makes smile ever time I think about

I'm a graphic designer so I am very familiar with typography and letterforms. Durst talks about these standard block letters as if everyone writes all-caps in the same fashion, but the way some of the letters are written are not what I would call standard. For example the "Y" is written like a lowercase "y" where the tail comes down at an angle instead of straight down, and the "R" has is written like a "P" with a leg added instead of how many people will write the "R" in one motion. There is a sort of standardized block handwriting that is used by architects and draftsmen that used to be taught, and the block letters in these notes aren't in that style either. If I were trying to make my lettering as generic as possible I would probably go that route but with more casual strokes. This block lettering is far too unique to be considered standard.

Love watching these videos! I have a content request- can Greg record himself telling two different stories, one true, one made up. I get the idea of the experiment but I don't think it would work right. For one it's much less stressful to be telling lies as a part of an experiment vs. real life where you're lying in order to avoid jail, execution, or at least public shame. Also if a body language expert is trying to mislead someone they would be much better at pulling it off than the average criminal because they know all signs and tricks.

I love what Mark said about critical thinking here. Sometimes you guys, particularly Scott, sound too sure about something. I think we learn more from the possibilities than the overly secure statements. It’s so important that law enforcement are taught to let go of their natural biases and judgements. My partner was killed by a driver while cycling and because the police made snap judgements, their investigation was pathetically poor and my partner and his loved ones were left without justice. Bias in the police has massive real life consequences than can devastate lives. I’m passionate about improving policing. Stripping the alpha male arrogance away so that trained, highly competent people can do good work and really protect and serve the public.

Hi guys, My name is Nicola, I live in regional Victoria, Australia. My town is called Ballarat. It’s a beautiful part of Australia and full of gold rush history ( if you guys are ever looking for a holiday some day, you would love our little town lol ) I’m just entering into the care sector ( individual support, dementia care and palliative care ) I’ve been following you guys on KZfaq for a while now and absolutely love all your work ! I’ve just started your wonderful course body language tactics, and I have been recommending your KZfaq channel to all my co workers and students for a while now. The body language advantage in my field is paramount, our clients can’t always verbalise their distress, pain or anxiety. This course enables me as a PCA ( personal care assistant ) to read between the lines and help my clients in so many ways. I have tools to help recognise signs of distress and aggression before they escalate and cause my client undue stress and harm to them and myself and my colleagues ( dementia care is tough my friend, and we struggle with aggressive behaviour daily ) I just want to say thank you for sharing this amazing knowledge, it’s helping more people than you can believe. I hand-letter comics, so I know the HELL out of block letters. The letter spaces are identical. In both, the V's point throws off the baseline of the next E; the S has the same proportion of tight top/loose bottom; the baseline stroke of the Ls share a little fillip; and the tails of the Rs curl down neatly to the baseline rather than flicking out and up. These tells suggest to me that the same hand wrote them.

Like Scott, I've been fascinated with the study of psychopathy & psychopaths for decades (having had to deal with many psychopathic types in my former work), to where now I can just look at a still shot of a person & instantly pick up the 'psychopath vibe' from them. This occurred the moment I laid eyes on Robert Durst (whom I've never heard of before). So I paused one of the clips of him being interviewed & just stared at his face for awhile asking myself, "What exactly is it about his face that gives away his psychopathy at first glance?" One scientific study came up with the fact that people tend to be able to pick a narcissist by their eyebrows. But I don't think the study went deep enough. I don't think its the eyebrows, I think its how the eyebrows sit in relation to the eyes, & how the muscles around the eyebrows & eyes have formed on their face. Regular people habitually use their eyebrows as illustrators when they talk, so the 'eyebrow-raising' muscles around their eyes are well developed. Psychopaths usually don't feel much when they're communicating with others, so they don't automatically & unconsciously use their eyebrows as illustrators as much. Therefore, the 'eyebrow-raising' muscles around their eyes aren't as well developed as a regular person's, & their eyebrows often sit lower to their eyes as a result. This is besides the fact that like Robert Durst, most full-on psychopaths have very cold eyes.

@@chrisb.4323 I'm retired now, but my main line of work was as a local expert on coercive cults & cult mind control (& I was regularly interviewed on TV & radio here in Australia whenever cultic abuse was in the news). My work involved 'exit counselling', rescuing, assisting & advocating for cult victims (especially the women & children), as well as lecturing on the subject to mental health professionals, etc. Cults are hot-houses of religious narcissism, magical thinking, personality disorders, and leadership psychopathy. I dealt with many grandiose cult leaders & narcissistic religious men who were basically holding their wives & children captive. I wound up unfortunately burned out from over-work & having to deal with these types so much, as well as the trauma & abuse the victims suffered, & developed a chronic illness that forced me to retire early. I landed a book deal for my story on the subject, which I'm working on at present.

I really am fascinated by the work The Behaviour Panel do. Hope to see more of your comments there. BTW, a Psychologist named Dr. Grande on KZfaq has written on serial killers and most recently written a fiction book coming out in September.
