I like dramatic intense works. That intensity includes calmness, not just drama. This work offers what I look for.

Dark, brooding first movement, tender and beautiful slow movement, and resounding last movement.

Moving, tuneful, and well-structured. This concerto should be in the standard repertory. Sample: 30:00-38:00.
