as a son of a WW2 combat vet,I experienced fort polk Basic and INF AIT at FT POLK,june-sept 1972 as a squad leader E-5 ROTC commission (Ordnance) Germany,(1976-1979) Then KOREA (1989-1993)

I really enjoyed this interview with the Big Man!! Laughable too especially the bird bath in Saigon and going home in dirty fatigues! Thank you Sir for your Service fighting against Satanic Communism.

Tough Guy

@6:00 - K.P., pots 'n' pans. The 2nd time I had K.P., I volunteered for pots 'n' pans. The worst thing about working 14 hours on K.P. is your feet hurt. When your feet hurt, it's torture. I noticed that pots 'n' pans station had a big rubber mat to stand on. "I'll do the pots 'n' pans." , I said. The cook looked at me with shock. "Sure. You got it." At the time I was serving K.P., in 1971, they had those 3M green scratchers that they still sell in the store, and they worked good on pots 'n' pans. I don't mind hard work, but I do mind painful feet. If you work hard at the cleaning up the pots, you get to sit in the corner until another pot arrives, while they are keeping the other K.P. slaves working all the time. I did K.P. about 6 or 7 times in the army. I was at Ft. Carson when some of us guys all dropped some Orange Wedge acid, before morning formation. That morning, I was assigned to cleaning pots 'n' pans with a half dozen other guys, cleaning the pots in a kitchen that had been closed up for some period of time. I thought I'd have a bum trip. It wasn't the case though. The sarge in charge was some black dude, who was a natural comedian, and I had a real good time. Funnest acid trip I ever had. Acid wasn't my favorite. Sometimes I got depressed on the stuff. Once, the trees were angry at me. That's not good. I preferred Peyote or mushrooms. I don't recommend taking psychedelics, though. In fact, all drugs suck in the long run. @23:00 - The closer you are to events, the more bias there is. You won't get the facts straight until everybody is dead from that period. Bias lives on in people all their lives. Not for everybody, of course, but for most folks, yes, the bias it there. Even a historian, nowadays, is to be suspect, because they have a political bent like everybody else. You want historians who are looking at the paperwork and news stories and personal accounts without emotion.

I started working in the private sector in 1975. The plant that i worked in had over 200 guys working on the floor. All 6 man crews. This was a large CO. Union shop. Not one guy was in the guard. We worked 7 days a week. Alot. Anyone even thinking about joining the guard was fired. All the CO saw was they would be short a man 1 weekend a month and 2 or 3 weeks away during the summer. On top of there regular vacation time. My cousin joined the guard in 72 to make sure he never went to nam. All he ever told us was 1 weekend a month they partyed. And 2 weeks durring the summer they went camping. And got paid for it. When you work for the ST or the park's dept. You can have that time off. Not in the real world. Business cant operate that way. Thats why all these small towns and cities across the country are broke. 6 guys standing around watching the new guy work. Thankyou for your service in nam. Buy the size of your waste it looks like you had a pretty good time in the guard. And a gravey govt job. Im so glad trump is thinning out all these government jobs. 4 people to do the job that 1 can. Or should. I have yet to meet a government worker thats not a supervisor. He cant fire them. But he makes dam sure not to hire them. Its called attrition. I love all the people at the EPA. Now they have to show up at there office every day. Before that it was they worked from home 4 days a week. No more. Now they are all pissed of because they have to pay for child care and fight the traffic. I want one of those jobs. Dont want to work. Quit. Work from home. Really??? Im going to see if my boss will let me work from home. All he will say is. You should have got a government job.

They wouldn't expose the crew for an extraction but sent a company to the godamn Ashau for a body, fuckin military logic. I'm sure that guy who was killed would have approved that idiotic mission
