@@ThatBigBlackDude No you didn't; certain individuals many of whom where black help create and evolve it. That's like people who like to say White Scottish, Irish and French created Country Music, no they didn't; certain individuals from these backgrounds help create it. There is certain type of patriotism that people love; basically they take pride in other peoples accomplishments as if they had been involved. I remember this wee Scottish nationalist in a bar telling everyone that Scotland gave the world penicillin, no they didn't it was Alexander Fleming and yes he was Scottish but Scotland didn't invent it, it was an individual. I always object to mass appropriating of something that doesn't belong to them. If all the people that created the blues were fat, would that mean that all fat people could say look what we created?

This is the vedio tells we should practice fundamental things to get our own unique style. such as standards, bebop. This vid deeply encouraged, influenced me and i am so glad that robert glasper shows his wide musical spectrums. Thank you robert.

This is what I thought I was going to hear at The Queen in Delaware years ago. This is the Esperanza I'm familiar with. (I brought a friend and was disappointed.) Performance Art is great when you expect that from that type of Artist. I came to hear what you are hearing now. Just an opinion....go ahead experiment but not giving me the opportunity to know what to expect that evening was deceiving.
