Excellent lecture. His insight into where to be (and the patience and serendipity required) for the ideal shots are so helpful. Thank you for making this available.

The absolute best lecture so far! I love shooting on street ! Yes I was accosted by manager of "Chanel" on Bloor St. I advised him that I Could, I would and if he interfered with me I would have him charged. This is Toronto. The phone pix are incredible! I use small cameras, really smal as easier than phone. Good Luck with Book 2.!

Beautiful photos. Robert, the photos seem like they are black and white photos with touches of color. Is this the result of post-production. I love the sometimes subdued color...so cool

Great stuff. Could tell he was very much influenced by Saul Leiter’s work. The cross reflections on the glass panes and such.

+Luke Collins Yeh your right, i actually use my iPhone myself. Think i was just reacting to my concern everyone seems to be doing this now and where its going...but still my reaction was out of character.

No problem at all, as long as your shooting that's the most important thing :-)

Im a relatively active street photographer and personally dont own a camera phone. When making the decision to carry a camera and be ready i think that is an important step, i sometimes have months where i dont feel like taking street photographs and this is actually very good to take a break. When i am motivated i pick up the camera and look for pictures. the type of camera is irrelevant but the act of going out with it its important step, it means I'm ready and open. Nothing against phone pictures but for me having it all the time and when i am not ready/motivated wouldn't be good for me. Smartphones make so many things easy and accesable which of course is a great thing and in the right hands can be creatively incredible.

Let's hope the mumbling, stumbling MC never gets to embarrass anyone of Herman's statue again. Atrocious and unprofessional.
