Seven. Read that again. Seven-time NBA Champion Robert Horry drops in for this week’s episode of Knuckleheads with Quentin Richardson and Darius Miles. He comes in to set the record straight on Sexy Rexy and what really happened in Phoenix with the towel and Danny Ainge. But Big Shot Bob is a walking legend. A lot bigger than that moment. Truth. And so he leads us down the incredible pathway that led him to win NBA championships with three historic teams. We go from his days in Alabama to being drafted by the Rockets. He gives us insider knowledge on Dream. The reason why his Rockets would have beaten the Bulls. The series of trades that ultimately landed him in Los Angeles. What it was like playing with Peak Shaq and a young Kobe. Those shots he hit. What he thinks of his nickname. And man, we’re not even finished. Because Big Shot then travels to San Antonio to play with Duncan, Parker and Ginobili. Few played with so many legends and even fewer put up stat lines like Horry. His view of the game-and the game within the game-is original, distinct and nuanced. There’s a reason why this kid became the player you better get the rock to at the end of the game. Big Shot Bob. The OG with more rings than Thanos. Y’all better tune in for this one.

It hasn't been flying under the radar at all. This and All the smoke have been the most popular podcasts. Some of the underrated podcasts are JJ redick's. He was one of the first to do the podcast. I also like Rasheed wallace and Bonzi wells podcast called Let's get technical.

Awesome podcast and shoutout to Q and D miles for putting up some amazing interviews. Those Houston rockets teams from Horry's rookie year in 92 till 95 were special. Robert had some special moments and that trade for Barkley in 96 set Houston back and maybe if Houston kept Cassell and Horry and added Willis at PF and a decent backup at center for Dream things would have probably been different and Hakeem's final years would have been better rather than his last good year in 97. Two guest wishlist would be Shawn Kemp and Mahmoud Abdul Rauf (Chris Jackson).

Years later it makes sense why Robert Horry threw a towel at Danny Ainge's face. Then as a Spur bumping Steve Nash at the scorers table and causing the suspensions.

Word up tho. I remember that cat. He wasn’t anything close to a superstar or even a star but he was a solid true mid range power forward..... not like these power forward & centers these days that wanna camp out behind the 3 point line & doing finger rolls & shit.
