The Galvin’s were my parents’ best friends. I was so sad reading the book! Our family moved from the Air Force Academy to Littleton, CO. And then we didn’t see the Galvins as much as before. My mom and dad truly loved Don and Margaret and they would have been broken hearted to have read this book……..we knew of the mental illness of the children but there is so much heartbreak in the book that I had no knowledge of before reading this book! I don’t know what all my parents were aware of………..😢
