This is the best comment for me. I keep arguing that all who criticize him don’t watch Barca play. They don’t feed him, they don’t pass him the ball. He stopped making forward runs because of it, his first touch has drop because he doesn’t get to use it as much. If we fed him he would go right back to having that many goals. Funny thing is, raphina and ferran run and they pass them the balls. I’m still backing Lewy, they just need to send the ball his way.

Bayern with Lewandowski was such a deadly machine. They perfected this playstyle so well, Muller and all those assists were great. Barcelona is a failure in that matter, not a machine but a bunch of selfish young dudes who just wants to score. Barc will never be as good as Bayern simply because they cant use Lewy properly.

If they were so great why did they only play in the CL final once in 8 seasons? For comparison, the last 8 seasons without Lewandowski Bayern played in the CL final 3x.

@@kboid5919 Lewa had the biggest xG in the top 5 leagues for 8 consecutive seasons at Munich. Bigger than Messi and Ronaldo. Lewa's 3 seasons with the biggest xG: 21-22 33.2, 20-21 31.3, 19-20 30.7. Robben had 5.1 and below.

@@Jimmy-nl9if exactly, he had this xG before too, but Robben was taking all the situations and was missing and missing. Once he retired Lewandowski was receiving more chances and he had his ballon d'or season and later broke the unbeaten record. Once ultra egoistic Robben was gone. If not for Robben, Lewandowski would have not only excelent xG but much more goals.

Lewandowski in his prime was top class. He was on fire against Atletico Madrid on March 18, 2024. Congrats for winning. 1 goal and 2 assists.

I miss this crazy version of bayern that had one of the best offenses ever seen in football. The way the players connected with each other was just brilliant. I know they had Flick as a coach but I still wonder why Bayern can't even get close to this version anymore, even though a lot of the players are the same like Sane, Gnabry, Coman, Muller, Kimmich, Davies, Neuer, Goretzka + now they have Musiala and Kane, a striker almost as good as Lewy was. I hope this year they can win the UCL and slowly start becoming the monsters they were in 2020-2021 again

I'm really disappointed how Barcelona does not respect his runs and cannot put a good cross in to Lewandowski. Their crosses are so freaking terrible and the last decent one I could remember came from a long ball from Kounde and that was like last season. The other came in against Inter in the UCL. He would get so many more goals and Barcelona would probably be leading La LIga by now. Barcelona has made their situation far more difficult than it should have been. This is what happens when you attempt to impose "Barca DNA" on a player. Just let the man play and score goals.

@@itcalledfootball600 I do, and its true, he does not receive many passes. Also he have zero protection from referees, he can be pushed and kicked in near penalty freely by defenders, and no fouls given. On the other hand almost every game he fumbles one or two balls spectacularly. But again i would not blame him overly for that because he is tightly covered. Also he already scores few impossible shots from tight spots, and its quite unique ability imo. And most important, Xavi always defend him, and put him to the squad. I assume Xavi knows and see more than regular fan like me or you.
