This month marks the fiftieth anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Former co-anchor of the MacNeil-Lehrer NewsHour Robert MacNeil joins MetroFocus host Rafael Pi Roman in studio to talk about a new documentary "JFK: 1 PM Central Standard Time" premiering November 13 at 10 PM on Thirteen and about his memories of covering President and Mrs. Kennedy on their trip to Texas in November 1963.
MacNeil, then a correspondent for NBC News, was travelling in the press bus following the Kennedy motorcade through Dealey Plaza when shots were fired. MacNeil made the driver stop and was the only reporter to leave the bus. He raced to find a phone in the nearby Texas Book Depository building where he passed a young man now thought to have been the assassin Lee Harvey Oswald. MacNeil tells Pi Roman he doesn't know if it was Oswald but says, "If the evidence points that way I have to believe it."
What matters more to him, he says, is "Why didn't I stop and talk to the people I passed lying on the ground when I ran up the grassy knoll, who a few minutes later gave incredible eyewitness accounts to reporters who had the sense to ask them. I was so fixated on following the police up the grassy knoll that I didn't stop. Why were the police running up there is the question.

Back when Robert MacNeil covered the Kennedy assassination, America had true reporters who could speak very well, were not biased, and knew the English language.

The most important clue to the JFK assassination can be found by searching KZfaq for "Folksteady."

Mark Crane Based on your comment, I listened to FOKSTEADY. JUST like this video, the most important clue IMHO was NOT mentioned. MacNeil in other interviews has told us what might be the most important clue but it was NOT mentioned in this interview. It turns out that MacNeil said the EXACT SAME THING about the shot sequence that other credible eye and ear witnesses said: The last two shot like sounds were BANG BANG, in other words the last two shots were fired VERY CLOSE together. And this is not just a few witnesses, it is DOZENS of witnesses who describe the same last sounds as consistent with two closely fired shots. BUT no matter how many witnesses said they heard BANG-BANG, it does NOT prove the last two shots were BANG=BANG. But hold on to your hat, there is credible forensic evidence which PROVES the last two shots were BANG-BANG. But there is a huge roadblock to you understanding and believing that is true: the US gubermint and other "experts" have said over, and over, and over that some of the BEST evidence in the JFK assassination is NOT valid. Fortunately, there is a way to PROVE what is valid and what is NOT valid. It's called simple high school level mathematics. The mathematics in the JFK assassination can be shown to PROVE exactly what happened. Are odds of this being true at well over a million to one good enough to provide proof? Of course they are BUT you are likely to not believe anything until the MSM and PBS tell you what to think. Take a few minutes to review the following information. If you stayed awake in high school level math, get out your calculator and prove to yourself what happened. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m96dotuC19K9e58.html about time one minute last two shots were very close together kzfaq.info/get/bejne/kLd8q8-Ep63bfY0.html This video shows there are TWO INDEPENDENT ways to determine the time between shots. This video shows the two different forms of evidence shows the time between shots is the SAME! That PROVES both are valid, both the film time sequence AND the audio recording. Once you KNOW that the audio recording did capture the sounds of the shots, even fools like Posner and Bugliosi would be able to see that they were made fools of. BANG-BANG, at about 4 minutes I play a few of the witnesses who said that were fired a few seconds aparrt. Dozens of witnesses, the audio recording, the altered Zapruder film, all show the same thing: BANG-BANG. And that proves that SHOTS were fired from in front of the limo which shows conspiracy. That PROVES the US gubermint lied, forged evidence, killed witnesses..... to hide the truth. And WHY hide the truth 50+ years later? That is simple enough to understand once you analyze who had the power to set up JFK for the shooting. WHO had the power to fix the investigation. Who had the power to kill Oswald to keep him quiet? There is only one answer to WHO.

@@SCGATOR2001 A passing train set off three railroad torpedoes at the worst possible moment. That's why everyone ran to the grassy knoll. The three torpedoes sounded just like a bolt action rifle being fired. They're very loud and emit a puff of white smoke. They can easily be mistaken for gunshots. A Secret Service agent perceived hostile fire and armed himself with an AR-15. JFK's limo driver braked, causing the closely following Secret Service car to brake, causing the armed agent to fall back and fire his weapon on full auto, firing five to six shots in one second. The Death of A President by William Manchester confirms JFK died from a freak accident on page 645. Reference: Last Train from Dealey Plaza by Fred T. Newcomb.

@@RichardM333 Like the mysterious sudden deaths of today, it has to be something, ANYTHING but the obvious. The 4th shot in the JFK assassination was proven beyond any reasonable doubt to have been fired from the right front of the limo. The time between shots proves that that grouping of shots was NOT all fired from a bolt action rifle.

@@SCGATOR2001 "you are likely to not believe anything until the MSM and PBS tell you what to think." ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The MSM slavish pandering to the WC and the U.S. government is one of the most despicable aspects of this awful event. The mainstream media absolutely refuses to acknowledge even the possibility of a conspiratorial effort. To this day, the MSM derisively refers to alternatives to the WC as "conspiracy buffs". And the Mainstream Press's credibility continues to decline. But that decline began when they dogmatically endorsed the phony WC "investigation".

@@RichardM333 "A passing train set off three railroad torpedoes at the worst possible moment. Sounds to me like Warren Commission believers are getting desperate.
