Robert Palmer died from a sudden heart attack in a Paris hotel room on 26 September 2003 at age 54. A quiet man in his personal life, Palmer was uninterested in most of the excesses of the rock 'n' roll lifestyle, although he was a very heavy tobacco user who smoked as many as 60 cigarettes a day.

He died way too young (54) and was probably one of the coolest and smoothest singers around. "Simply Irresistible" was the follow up to this song, definitely worth a listen. "I Didn't Mean to Turn You On", "Early in the Morning" (a Gap Band remake), "Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)", "Every Kind of People" (one of my all-time favorites), and also the one album he made with John and Andy Taylor from Duran Duran, the self titled album The Power Station.

Yes, Robert Palmer was in a short lived side project called The Power Station, which also included a couple of guys from Duran Duran. Unfortunately, Robert has since passed away.

He was in a group called power station. They had some big hits like some like it hot. I believe two of the guys were from duran Duran. He also did an amazing cover of Marvin Gaye's Mercy me. Earlier on he did another song called bad case of loving you (doctor doctor). He was a great singer.

When this came out when I was in high school, I thought he was super old and gross. Even though I was in modeling I thought the women were made up to look old and gross too. Looking at it know. Wow. What a difference. Pretty sure my take about it being about predatory objectifying might have been a bit harsh. Love in and of itself is an object.

He was in a group with a couple of members of Duran Duran called power station while Duran Duran were on a break didn't last long.check out shenia Twain's man I feel like a woman she did her version of this video but with male models.
