This is the best version. It express quite well the oriental spirit of this song. Kudos for your selection, i think you're the only one giving credit to this performance.

Even though I'm only 38, I was lucky enough to get to see Page, Plant, and Lee at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis in June of 1998 when I was just 15yo. It was my first real concert and has never been and never will be matched. I went with my Dad, who never got to see Zeppelin live. In a few weeks I'll be 39, the same age that Michael was when he passed. He accomplished so much in his short life. I can't imagine being this age and looking back almost 15 years prior at the time when I was the go-to backbone for Page & Plant. what an absolutely insane experience that must have been. Rest easy, Michael.

@@chrisnealis4270 real nice you gave shout out Michael.... I saw him on the few occasions and I thought this chap is real good.... Only years later after periodically thinking about not being aware of his progress I researched to find out he had died of an epileptic seizure.... So sad 👍

I was front row, seeing this live. They had a symphony orchestra AND an egyptian orchestra performing behind them. Hella show

The late great Michael Lee on drums and Charlie Jones on bass. Michael was world class - sadly died of an epileptic seizure Charlie’s an amazing and accomplished bassist Pearl Thompson, not in this show, often accompanied on guitar (previously guitarist for the cure, another fabulous underrated guitarist) Nigel Eaton played the hurdy gurdy (an interesting instrument played by turning a crank while “fretting” strings and positions with the other hand. The sounds comes from a rosined wheel rubbing against the strings. (Rosin is what’s used to coat violin bows to give them friction to produce sound) The wheel functions much like a violin bow, and single notes played on the instrument sound similar to those of a violin

1995 This version of Kashmir is the best ever. Been a fan since 1970 and they just keep putting it out there. The backing strings and bongos were a Moroccan tribal band.

I think so too:) There is an added dimension to it with the added amazing musicians. By starting out playing the bridge is a cool change. The performance back in 2007 is great. I think Robert Plant's voice sounds better in 2007.

This is 1994. They toured in 95 and played with Orchestras from the towns they visited. The 1998 tour was unreal. I saw them in Boston and that show is on You Tube. It was a wild zoo when I saw them in 98. The bass player is married to Plants daughter Carmen who happens to be a world class belly dancer.

Page and Plant collaborated a lot AFTER Led Zeppelin. The album No Quarter was a gathering of LZ songs rewritten with a middle eastern flair....this version of Kashmor was with the Cairo Symphonic Orchestra.

Most of that at the end is ad-libbed.....you can see the looks between Michael Lee, Jimmy, and Robert just making it up as they were going on. Greatness. The orchestra was smiling because it was unrehearsed and spontaneous. Paul McCartney was in the crowd at the 2007 O2 reunion....and actually many other times when Zep played. Try: Trampled Underfoot, Live at Earls Court, 1975! TY.

I was too young to see my favorite band live but I could have seen them on this tour - I blew that one but I'll forever be grateful for being able to watch online. This to me is even better than the original - peak of their experience meeting ability.

It might not have been Led Zeppelin, but Robert and Jimmy as Page & Plant did some pretty awesome stuff together in the '90s. They performed both Zep stuff and new songs many of which were in the same vein as 'Kashmir' with strong Middle-Eastern influences, 'Most High' being probably the best example. Personally, I'd probably even rank their second album 'Walking Into Clarksdale' higher than the last few Zeppelin albums, really good stuff.

Saw Page and Plant in both 1995 and 1998 - great both times. The '98 show was among the best rock shows I've ever seen.

I'm looking for one that's been deleted to purchase or however I can get it of Page & Plant, 1995, Egyptian Pharoah orchestra, Plant red sleeveless shirt, Page did the Theremin, indoors w/blue background in California ~ that's what I know about it. I think This one has the same orchestra. It might not have been a regular concert. Any help would be so much appreciated! I GOT TO HAVE IT!

Expand your musical mind... Pink Floyd - the album Dark Side of the Moon Something very different to Floyd but a level of musicianship that equals Led Zepp? Come on Sal.... the album is a must but if you want a sample then "Time" or "Money" but trust me it's breaking the rules to do isolated tracks but if it's the only way to expand your mind.. 🤔
