He erases mistakes on defense, it allows the rest of the Celtics to really push hard on defense knowing that if you make a mistake and the guy you're guarding gets around you than at least you have the Timelord guarding the rim.

I'm no Celtics fan. But Williams III's blocks are fun to watch, as long as it's not my team . . Kinda funny how the ball's path takes these crazy turns. You guys should'a seen Bill Walton. He would often just grab the ball out of the air instead of a swat.

He's insane man best shot blocker currently I reckon and he did most of these injured. Forget about interior blocking this guy blocks 3s on the regular too. Decent passer as well and the lob threat is on par with his blocking, can catch one from anywhere. I'm pumped for 2023, hopefully he's stays healthy.

Those long arms together with his extraordinary jumping ability and flexibility contributes to his blocking. Many centers are bigger than Williams but he's got a different air on him.

When I first saw him play, I thought he was easily over 7' tall because of how effective he is around the rim. Turns out he's only like an inch taller than Al Horford.

Kudos to his teammates luring those players to him, they already know williams will be there and trust him, celtics are even ready to get the ball after the block like they know it will really be blocked. He is a true definition of center.

That last defensive play shows how insanely agile he is. He moves from the paint to cover the wingsman in timely fashion and pressure for the 3 then come right back to block the ball handler from the weak side. This dude is so special.

Im a Lakers fan. So you celtics fans can appreciate what its like for me to openly admit this is one of my favorite players in the league. He reminds me of a curreny era ben wallace .both undersized height wise to play center but both have EXCEPTIONAL timing. To me hes the best right now

If he could keep these blocked shots in bounds so his team could get defensive rebounds from them, his +/- would go through the roof. His athleticism reminds me of prime Deandre Jordan but Rob Williams is a way better all around defender
