@@lolawants2008 I agree with you. I had just finished reading the 48 Laws of Power when this incident happened. I assumed that the games that Robert Greene talked about happens in a work environment or politics but not in volunteer organizations. Also, both my boss and the woman are of the same race while I am not. That also angered him that she came to thank me and not him.

@@timcolaba church, school, book club, gym, mom’s groups, yada yada. So sad. It’s so gross a man like that in that position. That woman should not have had to lower her dignity to work with him to get the help she needed. There is a great Ted talk I think about “givers, takers, & matchers” - I think it has correlate ideas that dovetail interestingly, either way it’s pretty mind blowing to help explain a lot of dynamics for me in my life (definitely a giver, often to my detriment). I’ll try to find the link but those keywords should prob work to find it. Fascinating & also depressing. Edit- okay yeah it’s a Guy named Adam Grant- there are a couple Ted talks, a google talk & some other by him. I forget what he’s done but I think he’s one of those with an “impressive” résumé. Worthwhile subject for a dive

@@lolawants2008 Thank you. I will check Adam Grant out. I have run into power hungry jerks but I was naive to think that volunteers would set aside their ego. I was wrong.

They happen a lot among "friends" and among acquaintances too. Ever have someone start making you the butt of their "jokes?"

In my world its all about power, relationships, business, parenting. After reading this book it made me realise how foolish and 10 steps behind i was, the disadvantages and advantages, disadvantages where i could have had avoided, and advantages where i could have executed, the people that used to be in my life that were taking advantage of me, knew that i was picking up their patterns and started countering their attacks or tricks, they looked at me as a threat and knew i was no longer manipulated and can’t be controlled they just left, some became my enemies and some just simply left no words no hate no grudges just left, this book taught me everything that i should be aware of while playing the game,

I was so compassionate and egar to strive thing went will at first .then my whole 🌎 world collapse .i felt like i did stuck in the mud i keep pushing my wheels but no traction ...i hold for a while i went thru depression then manic then bipolar .one day my the sun never shin and went to over pass bridge and i jumped 50 feet on the busiest high way in America i_ 95 .when my body hit the ground i felt like a big building fall over my chest and and i saw long tunnel with two light florescent lamps expended to the infinity .then i blackouts .few days i wake up in the hospital .with broken spin and quadriplegic .i went under over 17 surgery i did stay at the hospital for almost 2 years .hey belive it or not those hosptail yers was the best in my life beside the pain and suffer .because i did saw and learn more about life then my past 38 years ....this rest at the hospital was like a puss botton .to hold and think clear .i did gain so much knowledge and wisdom you can not imagine .i did walk out of the hosptail but i lost everything .i mean 💰 money ,home ,wife, my dog , my clothes my 🚗 car my 📚 books .my coffee shop .but hey guss what ? I gain my ( mind clarity & wisdom) i went back to Alexandria Egypt .i keep it every thought in my notebook now i have great material to be a great book .but i don't know where to starts and everyone says .i have i great story to tell .and am so great at talking .because every word i say it i must live it and feel it and ✔ check out with supported facts .how i wish to speak to you oh ( your words about how you kept that 👕 shirt from the accident .clicked with me i had the same experience too .
